Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- LauraLondon, UK1,099 contributionsMy husband and I had a voucher for a main meal with drink and a game of bowling purchased as a gift. We booked at the Brick Lane venue via email, there was some confusion with the voucher we were using when we arrived to the restaurant for our meal, this took a while to resolve but afterwards the staff were very friendly and we were very impressed with the food. We both had a burger and they tasted great. The bowling was also good fun, it is quite dark and cramped in the bowling alleys, there was also no drinks service so we went to the bar to order drinks which was slightly slow. Other than these, we had a really fun evening and would recommend for a date night or group night out.Written 23 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I feel that it is unnecessary for this establishment to make you pay £10 for the restaurant without giving you a choice in the matter though. Especially as the majority of your customers are probably teenagers!Written 14 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ben KingLondon, UK244 contributionsThis bowling alley has a cool aesthetic. We went at night (a big plus of this site is that it’s open until late) and the neon ‘bowl’ sign glows. In there it’s dark, with a clear old school theme. However, it’s clear that some of the equipment is a little on the older side, too. On our lane, the pins messed up a couple of times when re-setting (but I know that’s not too abnormal) and the machine that is supposed to send the balls back after they had been bowled wasn’t on either, so we had to continuously get balls from another lane. The beer on tap we wanted to order also seemed to keg out, so we had to get something else. I will say, the staff were pretty nice and friendly. Overall, our group did have a good time, but we’re really easy going. We ended up playing two games and had a barrel of laughs amongst friends. This alley is just a bit rough and ready, so if you don’t mind that then check it outWritten 4 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lee GLeeds, UK2 contributionsThe Manager is a star.
Eighteen of us went for a work event. We had a little issue and the manager dealt with it. Sometimes it isn’t about things being wrong, it’s about how they are put right, and in this occasion, the manager was first class. Due to his efforts, we will definitely be back.
We enjoyed the bowling, and lovely food afterwards.Written 15 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Even better, there are table tennis tables next to the bowling for when you are finished - even more fun!Written 9 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - J K1 contributionWent with my daughter (11) and two friends. All of the staff were so friendly and kind. Especially the man with long hair who said he normally works at crystal palace. Thanks guys 😍Written 28 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dilan K1 contributionI took my children to bowling in the afternoon for a game of bowling and we had 2 rounds before it’s finished, the person that works there came to me and was trying to tell me that they need to end the game because the next group is waiting I was there standing trying to tell her we only have 2 rounds left it’s just been 30 mins we are here I payed for a full 1 game why can’t they wait for 2 more rounds. This is ridiculous and not fair honestly it’s not like we spent hours there you should of planed this all out and accepted the bookings accordingly instead of approaching people and saying your going to end their game!Written 3 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rachel P32 contributionsFood was great and both my friend and I were impressed with the attentiveness of the waiting staff. Said staff ran out to return one of my friend's belongings!
Thank you.

I understand it’s kids parties and they are hyper and having fun but to put 3 adults next to 20 kids for a party isn’t what we was expecting! They should consider it wouldn’t be enjoyable. And Considering the pricing aswell the staff didn’t do nothing about it nor cared. They shouldn’t bunch 20 kids next to 3 adults trying to enjoy 2 games of bowling. Unfortunately this has put me off! I enjoyed this the time before as bowling is fun but the fact the staff didn’t care just shows they just want your money not for you to enjoy your experience. I advise no one to go on a Sunday morning!Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alex ReviewedLondon, UK2 contributionsFirst they didn't accept the 50% voucher I brought even though there was nothing wrong with it except my account didn't work because the password was messed up and they apparently couldn't fix it. So we had to pay £20 after walking for about two hours, which was such a scam because they lured us in with their deal 😡. After the problem with the voucher, the person I was playing against beat me at the game of bowling which broke my heart 😢, but to be fair the bowling experience was very nice apart from the fact I lost, so that gave it a star ⭐. Then the man (I personally feel scammed me by not accepting the 50% off 😔) was nice about filling up our bottles 💦 and even put ice in one of them which made me happy 😊, so that was obviously another star there ⭐. However overall, the experience was overshadowed by the fact the 50% off we were promised wasn't accepted and now Hollywood bowl has my email addresses but I have no 50% off. So if you ever go there remember that they scam you with vouchers and they probably won't work. 😡😔💦⭐⭐Written 6 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IlonaKingston-upon-Hull, UK76 contributionsExcellent new gaming and bowling place opened in Camden. It offers variety of different gaming such as bowling, beer pong, pool, immersive darts, „play dirty” arcade games. It’s a great night out with friends or a date night!! Cocktails and pizza is a must try, especially the frozen Pinacolada and Aperol drink.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Molly E5 contributionsI ended up here after finding that the trains were delayed by approximately 1.5hrs. Instead of lingering in the pouring rain, my friends and i decided to go bowling. They offered a very good bowl and dine deal for £15 excluding drinks. It happened to be happy hour on our visit so i had two pinã coladas that were so strong the nearly killed me. Other than that, it was a fun way to pass the time.Written 4 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
