We were there when the GB team left for the 2024 Paralympics in Paris. Very well organized. Also security is excellent . - Ron M12 contributionsATT arranged our transfer from Milan Airport to Stresa. I managed to stuff up the pick up time in the booking. I didn’t pick it up till less than 12 hours before when I received the confirmation email. They were brilliant. Car was waiting for us at 7am ( instead of 12 noon). No questions. Absolutely no fuss! Took the stress out of our arrival after a 23 hour flight.
ps the car was new, spotlessly clean and the driver pleasant and courteous. However I had no reason to be. I spoke to an employee who found us the lift and then he got a ramp which helped me get access to the tube. I was then greeted at the stop I was getting off at by another member of staff who had been contacted by the departure station. Having the help there to get on and off the tube was reassuring for us. - The Codnor TravellerCodnor, UK138 contributionsI'm not sure why London busses are considered an attraction, when they are in effect just a standard transport service that you could find in any major town and city.
Perhaps it is the romanticism attached to the notion of big red double deckers winding their way through smoky streets, or perhaps whoever set this TripAdvisor profile up were thinking of the open top bus tours you can take in the city. I don't know.
My experience of London busses lacked the aforementioned romanticism, as I took the Number 100 (a single decker) from Wapping to St. Paul's.
It was on time, very clean, and was a nice smooth journey. I've always been a bit too reliant on the tube in London, and it was nice to utilise the bus network for once.
