Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were previously familiar with this station from our use of Eurostar services. We had no idea that trains also ran underneath the station, which we discovered on catching a Thameslink Train to Brighton. Signposting was good, and we easily reached the below-ground platforms via a lift. (Escalators and stairs also available).

Busy. Not much in the way of good places to eat. Did Not wait in line for the Harry Potter picture. Got one between people. I assume they charge for pictures. Harry Potter Shop was packed.

I have been here for 7 weeks and have nothing but praise for London’s underground network. Trains come regularly and it is so easy to get around. The citymapper’ app was fantastic for giving me the best options to get from A to B, even showing the best exit to use from the station and map for walking to my destination once out on the street. Being able to use a contactless card makes everything so much easier and there is no need to have an oyster card or buy tickets. Rush hour can be extremely busy and some stations like Oxford circus are best avoided after 4.30pm if you can help it.

The London buses run above ground and you get to see the city as you move between sites. We were very pleased with our day out and about. Google maps was helpful in finding bus stops.

I used their services on the Gatwick Airport - Victoria route and back. The train is clean, fast, you have free access to Wi-Fi, the seats are comfortable. Tickets are expensive. Unfortunately, on the way there, the train had a breakdown and we had to take another train, from an intermediate station.

Visited on Wednesday 23rd June 2021 As part of a day trip to London. Woolwich Ferry. It was still free and my first time on it since I went on it as part of the circular cycle around East London back in 2012. I exited the King George V DLR Station and walked the rather decrepit streets the short distance to the Woolwich Ferry. You can queue with your vehicle or walk under the Thames using the foot tunnel. I chose to queue and as there was only 1 of the 2 Ferrys in operation the time to wait was circa 20-30 mins. Once the Ferry was on my side, you could access the ferry and either stand in the open or the covered side seating area. The ferry takes about 10 mins to empty its vehicle and people contents and be refilled. The crossing takes about 10 mins and provides a free view down the Thames. Once in Woolwich, it is a similarly poor/decrepit area of now South London. Either way, unless you have a reason to use this free ferry there is little value to doing so.

Visited on a recent trip to Lords Cricket ground.
Extremely busy station as you would expect. Lots of cafes and bars not too crowded so quite easy to get a drink.
The toilets were disgustingly bad they did not flush were crowded and the lock on the door did not work. Horrid experience as far as that goes.
Fairly easy to get a Taxi outside information on trains is good.

This underground station must be one of the coldest in London. It's drafty even in summer. However, the staff cannot be held responsible for their surroundings. Recently I observed one employee go beyond the call of duty to help passenger after passenger understand where to go. He was so patient and good-humoured.

2 trains cancelled on Sunday so I paid for an upgrade to first class. The train was very crowded. I got the impression that asking for more crisps was greedy, getting more milk for coffee was causing trouble. Only people paying for wine got service. I stayed very polite but considering how much you pay for first class the staff could give a better impression

    WOULD I VISIT AGAIN?
Sure/ if it were convenient for me after my next visit to the British Museum

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    Sure

The train was very smelly, so horrible that tourists were moving to the front of the train to escape it.

Apart from that the interior of the train looked clean. That being said if people are paying a lot of money I think that the standard should be better.

I have also noticed that Thameslink cancel a multiple amount of trains at short notice. They need to make a positive change.

Pride if face seems to have been lost to the shadows, as HS1 fleet. used to be well kept, a few years ago. But today, now I occasionally opt for a quicker skip over from Stratford to Kings cross, I have consistently found the interior drab, heavily worn-out flooring, and gunk on the door step plates, and don't get me started on the awful pong of pee throughout the carriages! What on earth is going on with their fleet of trains I cannot imagine. For the price paid for the trip, I would expect Southeastern to keep up the pride they once had. Such a shame, as the trains as a means of travel, do a very good job of delivering the traveller at a good pace. Come on Southeastern! You can do this!

This service is awful, we were stranded in Luton because there were no substitutes for cancelled trains. Unbelievably unreliable and absolutely inexcusable for a place like this

    Kings X out
Train showed as delayed with differing information. Told platform and to board. As we got to the train the train on the neighbouring platform was emptying and they were all boarding my train. Then informed my train was cancelled which was not strictly true as they had basically combined two trains into one. Arrived over an hour late on a busy train. Information was miss leading at times but constantly updated which is always appreciated. Buffet car not in operation
Rtn to Kings X no issues

Overall comfortable and clean but delays never great
