Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located along chaotic and noisy Euston Road in London, the British Library provides an oasis of peace, quiet, and calm.

The library usually has special exhibitions of one sort or another, but this time I simply poked around its permanent collection of old manuscripts. These items are absolutely stunning works of art. What a wonderful experience.

Free admission. Gift shop, coffee shop and washrooms.

I wanted to go but thought the tickets were expensive, but then given as a gift. Went on 2nd September at 11.30am, man on door said no food and drink (not even water!!) the exhibition was not the best but you had headphones on all time with audio commentary - the information was excellent but i thought it lacked something? If you are an F1 fan it was great, but unfortunately i am and this did not meet with my expectations to warrant to high price of the ticket at ÂŁ35 plus a ÂŁ3.55 booking fee. Luckily i get free transport.

There’s no were to get water as you’ve emptied you bottle out to come in and after almost 2 hours your gasping ( luckily not a hot day) the end there is a summary of F1 in the pit lane and to be honest Don’t go to the front stay at the back so you can see everything.

Then comes the shop………………… a postcard of a track @ £5, magnet @£10, key ring @£5, Pen @£8. Nothing reasonable and therefore better to get elsewhere - so expensive if you add onto your ticket price?

I thought they would have had a brochure/programme of the event !!

Also when you book you need to pay ÂŁ15 on top if you want to have a go at the drive simulator - but you can to this on the day after going through - still need to pay but you have a choice

We managed to obtain free tickets so we decided to have a day out. Unless there is something in particular you want, it is not for you. We found seating in the food area very poor. After spending several hours looking at stalls you want to sit down, have something to eat or drink. There was nice variety of food stalls but I didn’t buy anything because there was no where to sit, we saw several people reduced to sitting on the floor to eat their food. My husband brought some food and had to stand up to eat until someone vacated their table and we managed to get it. Even while eating several people came up to us to ask when would we be leaving. Not exactly relaxing. This could have been a nice day out, have something to eat, drink spend some money but we left early.

The food was decent, but the service at the bar from Nancy was fantastic. She was very nice and attentive. A very good deal for what you get.

You can find this lovely building in South Kensington, an area which was nicknamed Albertopolis after the beloved husband of Queen Victoria. It is situated near the Albert Hall and faces the Kensington Park. It was treat to visit this unique society’s headquarters. So many expeditions were planned, funded and given royal patronage here. This is the place which led to so many discoveries. The exhibits, stories and ambience here are truly amazing and inspiring. The tales of those adventurous people who led their teams into the arctic, jungles, seas, volcanoes, deserts and mountains would definitely enthral you too. Researchers like David Livingstone, Ernest Shackleton, Humphrey Gilbert, Sir Francis Drake and Captain Cook were all funded by this society’s help. You can also see a private wedding or two taking place here.

The London Library is a must-visit for literature enthusiasts. The bad news is that it's a private lending library, and you can't just walk in off the street. The good news is that they offer free tours one evening per month, and you can book free tickets through Eventbrite. These tours are an amazing opportunity to learn about the history and architecture of the building from an experienced guide, and see some of the treasures from the collection up close.

An interesting thought-provoking place next to SOAS. They have changing exhibitions - well made and very informative. The staff is very helpful. We visited the exhibition "Expelled" in its last days and learned a lot.

Great venue 10-minute walk from Angel Tube station. We were there as guests for the London Art Fair. A huge space with so many artists and galleries displaying. Well worth a visit.

It’s always a positive for an area or city when there is a good visitor center close to major transport links. This is useful and with helpful staff!

Southbank Centre is a complex of artistic venues located on the Southbank.

You can find here the following: Royal Festival Hall, Hayward Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, National Poetry Library, and Southbank Centre Archive Studio.

The outdoor spaces also provide art while you are eating and drinking at the food market and pop-ups.

This is the former public records office, dating from 1856, and now the library of the esteemed educational institution King's College London. It was open to the public during Open House Weekend, when I found out that King's is one of the top 10 universities in the World. The library is certainly impressive, holding over 750,000 publications, including various special collections which can be accessed by appointment. The building is also quite amazing, occupying an historic site. The round reading room and the Weston Room were the most impressive, the latter being where they have special displays (one currently on American poetry).

We had booked lunch for 12.30 as a treat whilst attending The Ideal Home Exhibition. We arrived at 12 noon just so that we were sure where we were going. It wasn't easy to find. The restaurant with probably over 100 tables was completely empty and the young lady who greeted us offered us to eat immediately. We said "OK" but were amazed when she showed us to the meanest table in the room, tucked behind a pillar. When I asked for us to be seated elsewhere, she was unhelpful to the point of being antagonistic stating that all the tables were booked! Strange as when we left 40 minutes later ( having been grudgingly seated elsewhere) only a handful of tables were occupied. The meal was pleasant but not outstanding and the service from her other colleagues was charming. But where was the parmisan in the crushed parmisan potatoes and where was the orange in the chocolate orange? What a shame that the "meeter and greeter" created such a poor first impression!

Had my first visit to this conference venue, its location is great and you are surrounded by history, history and more history... but also tourists so if you look like you might know anything about London be prepared to act as a guide 🤔
Generally I couldn't fault the location, facilities and especially the people, but just one thing to consider when going there... plan toilet visits because when 750 delegates have a break the toilets are gender neutral and some of us take longer!

We found this visitors' center at the Naval College, so we stepped inside to collect some information about what to do in the area. We were not staying here so we did not need the hotel information. The staff were helpful.
