It does take most people to the Tower but it’s worth staying on to see the cute little village of Greenwhich.
The commentary gives you a different side of London and was humorous.

The boats are fairly easy to drive and are robust if you do knock them about a bit. We went right up to London zoo. Took a huge picnic and it was a lovely summers evening! - Lemmy KLondon, UK2 contributionsBrilliant 45 minute rib boat ride given by two fantastic hosts, Debbie and Dave of Thames Tigers.
Made to feel welcome straight away on arriving and were told the route and timings, given water repellent coats and life vests.
Debbie gave very interesting commentary on what we were seeing with the opportunity for photos at certain points. It was all very relaxed and informal.
Once we were past Wapping we had the thrill of the high speed section past Greenwich and towards Woolwich. Turned and came back towards central London, then a great slower stretch under the bridges where you could see so much of London’s history ie Tower Bridge, Tower of London, HMS Belfast and Globe theatre.
We had the most enjoyable time and I honestly can’t think of a better way to spend an hour in London.

- joyce hColchester, UK36 contributionsFive of us went on the Alan Gardiner River cruise on the river Orwell, Ipswich, Essex. lovely boat with a very friendly crew. It takes up to 12passengers. A good commentary on what was of interest, too. The lunch was extremely good, with choices of starters, mains, and desserts. This was provided by one chef in a small galley, and all the meals were served at the same time. Amazing. A high standard of food. We had been let down by Uber Thames Clippers due to delays and cancellations and Michael at Viscount cruises was fantastic offering an immediate solution. The commentary was great and the bar was well stocked. Fantastic. - Abundantli365Waltham Forest, UK12 contributionsWe had the best time, pictures by die water with the Canary Wharf backdrop, a hall to dance in, super helpful event coordinator (Amy) and team of awesome people to help us. Everyone came to ask us who the food suppliers were as the BBQ (yes in winter!) was excellent quality. It was a very affordable wedding for 60 people. They even cut our three layered cake up for us, cook and everyone so professional and a dream to liaise with. Well stocked bar and variety of menus to choose from. It was such a stressless venue for us and lovely as we had a date here early on in our relationship and I used to live around the corner many years ago. They even arranged the DJ. - Claire KLondon, UK4 contributionsLast night was our second time of asking King Cruises to host an 18th Birthday party for one of our daughters and they did not disappoint on either occasion. From the point of initial contact, the team communicates quickly and effectively ensuring that no small detail is overlooked. They were right on time at the pier, making sure that we got the most of our cruise slot. The choice of food is very wide and, because it is prepared during the cruise, it is absolutely fresh. Last night’s dishes smelled incredible as they were cooking and they tasted delicious. The crew go out of their way to make sure that everything happens as it should during the party, and all our guests commented on what a wonderful party it had been. We booked the cruise on their Sunseeker Superhawk 34 and it was cool to be on the actual boat that was used in a James Bond movie and other events.
Captain Jamie and Stevie were wonderful - extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
The booking process was done smoothly and great communications beforehand to make the entire experience seamless.

The barge is so different and makes a fab venue with a really helpful and friendly team.
