Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    PROS
    * Appropriate subject to honor
    * Great statues with phenomenal realistic details
    * Enclosed in a hallowed Greek temple like shrine

    CONS
    * It is in cloe proximity to so many other memorial statues

    "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... during my explorations around the entrance to Hyde Park. I really liked this one- the subject being remembered and honored was very noble and noteworthy and the detils of the chiseled sculpture- the faces of the airmen and the details (including their boots) were phenomenal. Visiots had placed memorial wreaths. This reminded me of the National Marines Memorial (Iwo Jima) in Arlington Virginia, directly across from DC, and that is the most amazing sculpture memorial that I've ever seen, and there has been a big competition

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    It's free

WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
    For sure

    ADVICE
When wandering around looking at the statues and monuments here, be sure to find and visit and honor this hallowed one located within a replica of an open Greek Temple.

Was a great experience and Chris made it fun. When you are in London do go. You get a practice go and then play with other players.

Sign Up for this experience! You learn a lot about gin and its history. You drink a lot. You get creative and create something that appeals to your palate. You walk away (or maybe stumble away) with a full bottle and some other goodies. Hands down it was one of the most fun activities I did on a recent visit to London.

Our leader was Carmen. She was terrific. Knowledgeable about gin and its history. Knowledgeable about how what you put into your bottle will taste together. Answered all of our questions. Gave us lots to sample. In the end we had three full cocktails made for us and a couple of tastes of some of their other gins (like the butter gin) before we got to the tasting of the flavors (the big four plus bold, citrus, spice, and dry). The final tasting was ours...neat and then with some tonic.

Truly a very fun experience. Make sure that you have had a good lunch before hand....and maybe bring along some savory sponges (snacks to sop up the alcohol). We did this on a Sunday, so a proper Sunday Pub Roast was key to our success.

We were gifted the gin tasting experience for Christmas and had a really good experience. The course leader was very interesting and informative. There was a good range of gins to sample with a clear explanation of their different properties. The talk in the distilling room was particularly interesting. The other course members helped make for a sociable afternoon.

The skyline is amazing! Bit of a wait to go up in lift but worth it once you’re up there. Pick a nicer weather day! Great views of London.

On the spur of the moment decided to do something different and omg what a blast. Unassuming premises 2 minute walk from Southwark station and a series of well sized rooms with a glass wall and door. Immersive screens across all walls which are touchscreen. This is not VR so nothings covering your face but you do wear a small cap with sensors on it to aid tracking you. Choose a variety of games which are all incredibly fun. Not overly energetic so you don’t need to be fit to play but wonderfully different and exciting all the same. Stayed for 2 hours playing lots of different games. Great for a date or friends or just to let hair down. Will definitely be back and great value for money too.

I live in London and visiting Temple has been on my wish list for many years. Today was the day! Google maps didn’t really help finding the church and beware…Temple tube station has no disability help, all stairs. Charming gentleman on the door welcomed us to the Temple. Stunning place, truly lovely. Lots of information & historical illustrations, everything was well labelled.

Charming guy was very happy to answer questions and show relevant material from the plethora of books on sale. The climb upstairs is a challenge for those of an ageing or crumbling disposition - but the tiles are lovely. There’s a small stained glass window about 3m up the stairs.

There are facilities at the left hand side of the alter.

Peaceful with plenty of round chapel seating so you can soak up the tranquility. Enjoy.

This was my first escape room experience and it definitely lived up to my expectations and more! It was so much fun. It was just challenges enough, and with Rowan’s excellent guidance we made it out with just minutes to spare. We laughed, shouted and squeeled the whole time ! Can’t wait to come back and do another one.

I visited the Freemason’s Hall Museum in October 2022 to view the museum, and thought it was interesting enough that I brought my wife in October 2023. I really appreciated the chance to learn more about what Freemasonry is, the organization’s origins, and how it was involved in British and colonial history. More importantly, it got me thinking a lot about how fraternal organizations get started, and how such groups change over time. I had no knowledge of Freemasonry or other fraternal orders and I’m not sure I’d ever be a likely member, but I still found the museum compelling and interesting. I also came out with a much more positive and fact-based knowledge about the group.

As visitors, we had access to two rooms with lots of artifacts and exhibits, very good audio/video players (that also gave some commentary from individual Masons about why they like Freemasonry), a typical lodge arrangement, the organization's library, and the beautiful art deco main auditorium. The exhibits gave a good overview of the history of Freemasonry from informal groups meeting at all sorts of pubs across London through standardization, expansion out into the British colonies, and modern Freemasonry. There was also a fair amount on the ritual and artifacts of Freemasonry.

The museum was pretty quiet both times we visited. It was a nice break after visiting packed places like the British Museum. The member’s cafe downstairs was very much a space for the members, and felt a little like invading the cafeteria for an office or a university faculty club, but the staff and members were friendly even though we obviously were visitors.

I took my mom there for her birthday and we had an amazing experience. Callum and Alexa are very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour is fascinating, you get to try three different gins and a welcome drink. Absolutely recommend!
