Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- V R43 contributionsA huge museum with an amazing collection of artifacts from around the world. You could spend the entire day here and still not see everything. TIPS: Get a free map from the lobby desk and ask them to show you where the highlights are. Going to those alone will take several hours. Go early! A negative of this museum is that it gets really crowded in the summer and is filled with a lot of big tour groups who are kind of pushy. We booked a free ticket in advance, but still had to wait almost an hour in line.Written 13 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ColinSouthampton, UK52 contributionsLove the place the smells the vibe it is just a great place to be so much food on offer its difficult to know where to start when I first went I had the privilege of eating a ginger pig sausage roll for the first time best in the world then the humble crumble wow just amazing and the spice world shop has just about any spice you could want I could go on all day about the place but it's best visited by yourself trust me you won't regret itWritten 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gil ChestertonUnited Kingdom1,215 contributionsWe had a spare few hours an thought we’d revisit child hood memories. It did not disappoint, just a fabulous few hours that could easily be days. Just the building itself is amazing.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GreenySevenoaksSevenoaks124 contributionsExcellent Van Gogh Poets & Lovers exhibition. An opportunity to see some of his major works on our doorstep! Alongside the biggies eg Sunflowers/Starry Night, there are paintings of the garden from the asylum at Arles which are truly moving. Some of the paintings had never left their original locations before and it was incredible to see two versions of Sunflowers side by side for the first time. Our eyes were out on stalks by the end - his paintings have such energy. We did the audio tour which was well worth doing as it selects certain works and goes into more detail than the brochure. Give yourself at least 1.5/2 hours to really do it justice.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael PMason, OH490 contributionsNot many people get to tour INSIDE the tower, but if you can secure one (months in advance) snag it! You’ll climb lots of stairs, but you’ll be rewarded with fascinating stories plus see the inner workings of the clock, stand next to the bells when they chime, and go behind the clock faces! It’s so cool! No photography is allowed on the tour - in fact they require you to store them in a locker at the start of the tour.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MerryheartSingapore, Singapore7,434 contributionsHarrods at Brompton London is the most iconic department store in London. Few words that I can use to describe it are luxury, refinement, classy, charming. The building has seven floors with over 300 departments selling all kinds of designer & luxury products. There is a Food Hall that sells a big variety of gourmet foods. There are also cafe & restaurants options. Whether one is shopping for luxury items, enjoying gourmet food or just having afternoon tea , I recommenced this place for travellers to London, to be soaked in the simply opulent atmosphere.Written 1 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Footprints7828451 contributionA lovely place to visit, except for public Toilets, Myself and my Husband went to the Toilets and we seen it was 20 pence to use them, my husband went in and there was nowhere to put the 20P and there was a card reader not working on the door, so he used ok, I went to the Ladies and there was an attendent on the door with ear pods in and loooking permanently at her phone, I tried to hand her the 20P but she said CARD ONLY, without even raising her head, no compramise or anything, been disabled this was a bit of a shock to me and I had to leave as i dident have a card to use.Written 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Josh Kasper44 contributionsThis was my favorite neighborhood when I visited London for the first time. I enjoyed having dinner at Gold and looking around the vintage shop, Lover's Lane. The colorful houses were beautiful and we got some lovely pictures around sunset time. This is a must-do in London!Written 21 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
