Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- TerrasTravelsLas Vegas, NV3,483 contributionsLove love, love love love this museum! Another must see went in London! The friend I was with commented that they had more artifacts from Egypt that she saw when she was actually in Egypt! Also a lot of artifacts from Greece! They have a lot of really great sections. And when you go, make sure you start at 8 AM and go the whole day so that you can see everything. I made the mistake of having to go three different times because I would go at the end of the day around two or 3 PM and they closed at five or six those days. But I kept wanting to go back to see the rest because it’s just such a great museum. Just so many artifacts from all over the world. So much history. It’s just so amazing to see! If you don’t have the chance to go to very many countries in the world, just come to London and go to the British museum because they have a lot of stuff from all over the world! Plus the Rosetta Stone is there!Written 25 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TravelerGabeWellington, CO141 contributionsIt is very cool, but it is also just a bridge. You look at it, walk across, then look at it again. It isn't something romantic, it is just a bridge.
However, if you are a photographer (like me), then it makes the experience way better as there are lots of cool ways to get a photo!Written 24 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This time, early in the day, the market was a much more relaxing experience, especially when compared to the chaotic Christmas crowds. On a Tuesday morning in March, I was able to fully enjoy the vibrant stalls, linger over expert displays, and take my time deciding which of the delicious eateries I’d pick for breakfast.
Borough Market is one of my favourite places for unique gifts, mouthwatering food, and of course, their irresistible Belgian chocolate-covered strawberries. Whether you're looking for something to nibble on or a thoughtful souvenir, there's something here for everyone. If you're still on the fence about visiting, don’t hesitate—just plan your trip for a weekday in the spring, and you’ll enjoy it at your own pace, away from the crowds!Written 24 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tried to make the guards crack a smile, they are good! the gardens are so pretty across the street. it is obviously a tourist thing to do. But, a must.Written 10 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Sumz8Plymouth, UK107 contributionsSuperb. What a totally enjoyable experience. And for free. Great views of London. Not overly busy as limit the amount of people in there at any time. Very cool with all the plants etc inside too. Pricey bar for drinks inside but don’t mind that when the entrance is free.
Make sure you book tickets well in advance as they sell it very quickly.

It contains a magnificent collection of paintings from the mid-13th to the 20th century. Its collection is smaller than that of many European national galleries, but it encompasses most major styles and artists in Western art. Some of the most iconic works on display are The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne and Saint John the Baptist by Leonardo da Vinci, the Ambassadors by Hans Holbein the Younger, the Arnolfini Portrait by Jan van Eyck, The Fighting Temeraire by J. M. W. Turner, and Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh. These are only a few of the amazing works at the gallery though, so I recommend you set aside at least a couple of hours to explore it. Entry is free but take note that you may have to wait in a queue as the gallery has been quite popular in the last couple of years.Written 26 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ingeborg56Oslo, Norway2,414 contributionsV&A is a huge museum with so many fantastic items, so before every visit here I go to V&A website to find out if I want to visit one of the permanent or temporary exhibitions. This time we chose to buy tickets and visit the the temporary exhibition "The Great Mughals: Art, Architecture and Opulence", and it was a great exhibition with lots of beautiful pieces of art and good information about the pieces. I found it very interesting, - especially after I have spent a few years in India. This exhibition was in fact the main reason why we came to London in March, - because on our next visit to London in July, the exhibition will have ended.Written 25 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - All A MuddleRichmond, UK381 contributionsThis is worth a visit, it's crowded, expensive and a mish mash of stalls but there are some hidden gems amongst the fake Harry Styles tshirts and Taylor Swift keyrings.Written 10 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Emily LevertThe Hague, The Netherlands1,846 contributionsCovent Garden Market is a must-visit in London! The atmosphere is always lively, with street performers, boutique shops, and a great mix of restaurants and cafes. Whether you're looking for unique gifts, designer brands, or delicious food, there's something for everyone.
The historic architecture adds to the charm, and the market buzzes with energy day and night. The iconic clock tower is situated on the bank of River Thames and adjacent to Westminster bridge. The clock tower is decorated with stone carving and looks impressive and provides a glimpse of rich heritage of the City. Hearing its famous chimes is an unforgettable experience. Though the tower is not open for tours, it is still a memorable sight to view its beautiful architecture from outside. When we visited in the evening, the area was bustling with locals and tourists; it was a nice evening spent at the site amidst the crowd. One can also explore nearby House of Parliament, Palace of Westminster and spent leisure time at Parliament square. The site also provides memorable photo ops during London trip. Overall, it is a must visit place in London.Written 21 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
