Free to get in, But donations accepted,
A stunning cathedral with lots to see.
I had a guided tour which I recommend, Its last approximately 1hr but the Gentleman was so knowledgeable it's well worth it,And it's free..He told us in the group to look out for the Graffiti markings left by some of the stonemasons and monks and he pointed out a few markings that I wouldn't have seen.
From the floor to the ceiling the artitecture is excellent. We stayed mainly on the ground floor but there's still much to see from chapels to the knaves , There is a toliet and a cafe on site.

Living locally we called at Felbrigg Hall to get Christmas presents in the shop and saw 'The Wolves of Wild Wood Hall Display' as well. We really enjoyed our visit, the decorations are truly magnificent, what an achievement by all the volunteers and staff. Indeed the volunteers both in the shop and Hall today were delightful. Thank you so much for brightening up our day.

Best value £20 we spent all holiday (£10 per person) We took an hours trip on this solar boat with a fantastic guide Mark. First time seeing beautiful kingfishers in a peaceful setting, no engine noise to spoil the tranquility.
Mark was an amazing guide with a great sense of humour. Would definitely do this trip again.

This is a fantastic place to walk through and enjoy a moment of peace! Very close to the city centre, but it makes you feel like you are miles away from the bustle of the city. Definitely a must-stop when visiting Norwich. The garden is only open during the day, and there is an honest box with an entrance fee of £2 pp. On the way to the garden from the city centre, you can explore the beautiful Cathedral of St John the Baptist.

Worth an amble down here for a favour of old Norwich. Almost every house has a blue plaque that is worth reading. Makes a good photo with the ancient elm tree in the square.

When I was planning my trip, I was a bit disappointed to learn that the keep is currently undergoing major renovation work and is therefore closed. But since the museum is open, I decided to visit anyway, as it was my first time in Norwich.
Finding the entrance proved a bit challenging, as I was walking halfway around the hill and then back again - only to realise after my visit that had I walked just about 50 metres further, there would have been another entrance, so I could have saved myself the long walk. Given that the museum is extensive, with lots of treasures to see, my feet would probably have thanked me for that...
And yes, there is a LOT to see: From paintings to archaeology to stuffed wild animals - it's vast! I hadn't been expecting that.
The individually themed areas all have their individual entrance, but are also interconnected, which can be rather confusing, because if you don't pay attention, then you're suddenly stepping from the gallery zone with paintings to the Roman history zone... In fact, several times I got lost and had to retrace my steps, as I felt that I was missing out on some areas. Maybe it would help to assist visitors with better signposting to indicate the general recommended flow.
Apart from that, I did like what I saw, especially the large number of paintings!
In the end, I just about managed to get around all the areas by the time I heard the announcement of the closing time.
I would certainly love to be back after the re-opening of the castle itself, hopefully also with a proper souvenir shop, as the museum shop was rather disappointing.
But overall I did enjoy my time in the museum and believe it's well worth a visit!

A lovely museum charting the rise of Norwich. From the industry they first used which was making garments and clothes to the present day, Artifacts galore to see, Look out for the Samson statue that has a great history and the old chemist shop and grocery shop, With all the things people brought back in the day. It cost me as a adult £7.40 (Feb 2024 prices) but well worth it. Also there is some things to keep the kids busy and active .There is a toilet on site and the staff I met were very nice.

What a simply amazing place. Absolutely chock full of fabulous and informative artifacts, information and relics.

Had wanted to visit for years and now finally got here.

The exhibits are all very well displayed. And the planes themselves a joy to wander around and inspect.

For me, I have been able to experience one of my lifetime ambitions. To get into a Vulcan. I found out that the tour to visit the cockpit had stopped on the last day of November. However, the staff were simply amazing and allowed my sister and I to gain access.

    I was in heaven.

I cannot thank the wonderful Linda and John for their incredible helpfulness and John for his unbelievable information. I have studied the Vulcan (and supported XH558 for years) and thought I knew it all. I didn't. And John has enhanced my knowledge immeasurably. Thank you both.

    So would I recommend a visit? 1000%.

    And I will be back.

Signed a very, very happy Av Geek.

We reserved moorings for our club members in advance. We paid the balance a week before our stay. Arrived as 12 noon. The ranger was prompt in welcoming us.

Easy relaxed atmosphere. One couple camped and said how easy their experience had been too.

Coming back next year for definite.
