- Kathy H1 contributionWe just got back from touring with Andrew for 4 days and wholeheartedly recommend Expedition Yorkshire for a fantastic experience!! We did the Moor, Coast & Cliff and ACG&S tours, as well as transfer tours from Edinburgh-York and York-Oxford. Andrew is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and funny. He knows the backroads and best spots, and he is clearly passionate about the beautiful area, as well as its people and history. We had a mixed family group (including 9 year old boys), and we also were dealing with some rainy weather and unexpected health issues. Andrew was unflappable – he tailored our trips based on our interests and needs, and helped us all make the best of our vacation. The touring van (as shown on the website) is very comfortable and well-maintained, and fit our group perfectly. Particularly enjoyed his memories of his childhood and how parents could conjure up scary tales to excite children’s imaginations.
Full of snippets of historical and cultural info about Whitby, however, not overbearing so kept us interested.
GPS worked amazingly well. Kept you on the right path and will notify you if you veer off in the wrong direction. Explored areas we otherwise may have missed.
Took us just over an hour, however you could have a coffee stop or lunch and then carry on. Great way to avoid group tours and explore at your own pace.
Co-incidentally, Devons partner passed us as we were listening to the tour.
Nod to her as it added a bit of quirkinesses and authenticity to the storyteller.
Thoroughly recommend for all age groups, adults and children alike.

It was lovely to learn about Yorkshire from a true local and every stop was amazing. Also no links to the places in Whitby which was a shame as many links could have been used.
