Stayed at The Roman Bath for one night. The Roman Bath is in the heart of York, so an Ideal location. The room was tired and may need a revamp but we liked it, was clean and comfy and we would stay again. We stayed a Wednesday night so probably not a right lot of party goers out. Karaoke in the Roman Bath was on until 11:00pm. Early in the morning it is very noisy in the area, metal clattering noises, market traders setting up etc. Didn't bother us but may put others off if they are after a peaceful night and a lay-in. Nice staff. Let us store out luggage there before check in and after checkout.

This is a lovely pub in central York. It had been a few years since I last visited and happily it was as good as I remembered. It is an unspoilt Edwardian gem, very small but if you are lucky enough to get a seat it is a must visit. There is a good selection of real ales and cider. There are bar snacks available.
Large groups etc are not allowed in which is good to see.

Busy place. Had to book and preorder food. Still a bit of a wait for the food but when it did arrive it was excellent and great portions at a reasonable price. Staff were very nice. Excellent meal and would easily recommend.

Great service from Josh! Good food, especially the cauliflower salad. Crispy and nice. The Deep South was good but the wings were a bit over fried and no sauce, otherwise great.

Fabulously wide range of cocktails and the drinks were very well done. A little bit bright lighting downstairs, and wide open doors at the back for the smoking patio made it a little chilly.

Had a decent enough Taylor's Landlord here yesterday afternoon. Quite the footfall though staff were keeping on top with cleaning tables and serving.

Thankfully no longer part of Black Sheep Brewery and now an independently run freehouse - with all the advantages of being able to purchase beers, wines and spirits from anyone you please - in this case lots of indie breweries. It's taken them a while to get thier mojo but it's starting to purr now as an operation and locals have welcomed them with open arms. Real ale is kept well, with a decent craft selection as well.

Ive been before but its a few years ago. Absolutely delicious, authentic food. I was told that the owner had cooked my tortilla that evening. Good house wine. Incredible value for the weekday deals. Staff are friendly and attentive. Quiet seating outside, undercover, heaters if needed. If I lived in York I'd be here all the time!

Beautiful old pub just a short walk out of York city centre. The homemade food served here is delicious , clean plates all around! Loads of history in this reputedly haunted pub. Good service in a busy venue. Well worth a visit.

Popped in for drinks which turned into 1 each as it was really quiet with no atmosphere, (only 6 people in the bar, late Sat afternoon/early evening) don’t recall hearing the music either, bit disappointing so not a venue we’d rush back to!

No matter where you currently stand on the Brewdog empire it can't be denied that they still make a decent beer and have some great bars.

York's offering is a shabby chic affair with a rundown urban vibe which is a big juxtaposition from pretty much all other York Pubs. For some it's a welcome change but it's not always to everyone's liking.

As expected from Brewdog there's a huge range of beers at the slightly more pricey end of the spectrum. A packed fridge for takeaways alongside some pretty decent pizzas and some retro arcade games. What more could you want?

The bar is spread over several rooms with booths by the main bar, it's easy to get settled in for the long run once you have a table, especially with beer range available. Brewdog York is certainly worth visiting when in the City.

Enjoyed some well kept beer at lunchtime…. I had the Buttertubs bitter from Askrigg in the Yorkshire Dales. The landlord certainly knows what he’s doing. Lovely traditional pub …with many authentic details (love the tiles). Enjoyed the visit so much - came back in the evening too & tried the local gin - Recommend Old Tom.
