Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great couple of hours spent here. Four of us played a round for the first time. What a great concept and the setup here is fantastic. The owner at the desk was chatty and knowledgeable. A lovely little bar to grab a drink in also.

Got a better membership so we go as often as we can. Timetable is easy to read. Staff are always friendly. Pool is always clean, it's just a little dated

Visited today with the kids and have to say I was really impressed. The pools are within a big sports complex and are really well looked after. Staff were very nice to deal with and it wasn't too expensive (my 3yr old was free). Pool was warn and the facility was nice and clean. All the staff were very friendly.

Afterwards I had a look around and there is loads more to do. They have astro football pitches and a cycle track which can be used by anyone. Went to the cafe and had lunch which was also very nice and reasonably priced.

    Definitely worth another visit.

Small, friendly Tennis club with 3 all weather Courts. The Middlethorpe Hall hotel has a group membership of Bishopthorpe Tennis Club for the use of guests. The club is only 15 minutes walk away. The Club has organised Tennis sessions several evenings a week and at weekends - so when I didn't have a partner, I could just turn up and join in. Group coaching is also available for a small charge. I was made very welcome by the charming Yorkshire people, who appreciated a new face to play against. There's only a nominal charge for guest players - if you're not using the Middlethorpe Hall membership.I recently found their website which has an Event Calendar, to check out what is happening at the Club. The Courts are locked when unattended, so it's best to check the website or contact the Club Secretary who lives nearby (see website for contact information ********* Very friendly, convenient, fun place to get a game of Tennis on holiday in York. (York's pretty ace too!)

Well it is a sports centre essentially not a place to use as a primary eating place. Coffee ok while you wait for the kids or post training. The seating area is a bit dark but means you can view the climbing wall and hall without being a distraction to those inside
