Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tiny shop but every bit of the shelves are packed with interesting books and other souvenirs.
    The service was quick.
Worth popping in if you are walking past as it is directly opposite the entrance to Christchurch.

A lovely market housing a variety of shops and eateries, a great place to have a hearty meal (local and some international fare available), pick up some locally made gifts / souvenirs, pretty flowers or a delicious dessert.

It is just astonishing how much variety we found here. Their arts section is quite stupendous in quality and breadth. Floor after floor of goodies on all subjects.

    Absolutely well-recommended !

Absolutely wonderful board games shop that feels like a magical emporium and transported me back to being a kid as soon as I stepped inside. A great blend of traditional and modern games and even rare vintage products. I've been many times now to get educational games, chess sets and jigsaws for my children and treated myself to a vintage solitaire set last Christmas. I've also attended one of their Chess and Cheers games nights at the covered market which was great. The staff are generous, knowledge guides to the world of games and Emily the owner is really friendly and helpful. If you love board games check my out in Oxford or online

I passed this place so many times on my bike, and knew I wanted to stop in to buy a few items. I'm glad that I finally did! The ceramics cover a wide range from pretty to honestly weird (in a good way). The artist is very friendly and helpful. She swapped out the wires on the pair of earrings that I liked for stainless steel ones (I am sometimes sensitive to brass). I also bought a super funky ring dish shaped like a finger. I imagine I'll come back again to get other pieces as gifts for family and friends.

We love going to Coco Noir in Headington. Yes, there are any number of coffee shops but this is easily the best: it's independent, offers table service, and is hugely popular with older people, families and those with dogs (owner keeps a jar of dog biscuits). The owner is very friendly and there is a relaxed-vibe.

It also offers specialty chocolates to buy, which are clearly popular as a gift.

Beautiful little shop in Oxford centre, with the most polite and friendly staff - The gentleman even went to fetch additional books for me.

For over 40 years it has remained under the ownership of the same enthusiastic couple, who we chatted with for some time.

A highly aesthetic little gem with a very classic and Parisian feel. You would hope that more shops like this exist!

Will definitely be a stop on every visit.

We took my grandson for the Mission to the Moon VR Experience for his 8th Birthday. He thoroughly enjoyed it (and putting on the astronaut outfit!)
Thank you to Lea for the amazing and interesting experience and for making my grandson's day. I would absolutely recommend for any young person who is interested in the moon and space

I took a summer course at Oxford and was delighted to run into this absolutely wonderful shop. It is crammed with beautiful things, many quite unique and so tempting to a writer. I especially loved the myriad of notebooks, the handmade miniature travelling balloons with baskets, and the beautiful clipboards, pens and inks. I could have spent hours there and have returned now every time I'm in Oxford. While some reviewers felt unwelcome, I never did and found the various shopkeepers there very polite and helpful. It's a real find, and should not be missed on your visit to this beautiful city.

We were served by the most helpful lady called Suzan. She helped y husband choose and buy a mourning suit. She advised him to go up a size which was excellent as he was not listening to me. An excelent, friendly, fast service from Suzan. Loved the whole experience. A wonderful atmosphere in this shop.

Really lovely shop, great service, lots of stock, good prices. We will definitely return!
This store is much nicer than the other stores that have popped up in Oxford, it has much more of a personal touch.

This shop seems to be just on line now? However, I really wanted to write a review of my experience shopping on line. Definitely 5*s! Sarah is a pleasure to do business with and I would highly recommend. Good communication and lovely environmental friendly packaging too :)

This review is for Kate, who was so helpful and knowledgeable about the cheese! After we found two I liked, I asked her for a wild card cheese for me to try as a surprise at home...and I LOVED it. So much fun discovering new great cheeses! It takes someone knowledgeable like Kate to make that happen.

I bought products that I had seen online and called the store. The advice and support I received was outstanding. They stock a beautiful range of natural fibre yarns. I fully intend to have a trip to Oxford and make a visit to this shop a priority.

I am always on the look out for food stores wherever I travel. Jericho Cheese Company was located close to our hotel and the first shop we visited in Oxford. They have a great selection of British and Irish cheeses here and the service is pleasant and friendly.
