Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a historic working lock sat in the Thames. It was so relaxing, so well maintained with beautiful gardens and wildlife. Just down from the lock the Thames is clean, and amazing walk! Check out the ancient stone and the plaque noting the history!

Diverting to learn that the Covered Bridge at the High Street side, completed in 1904, was opposed by the Local Council on the basis that the Laneway was a bridleway. But they lost the court case and Bridge was built.

It’s a charming little laneway and has interesting builds on both sides. With gates at both ends it is locked at night.

A lovely walk on a winters day. Wear you wellies as it can get boggy in certain parts.
You might spot some wildlife too if you are lucky!

While not of any great length, nevertheless with the terrific University Church of St Mary the Virgin on one side and Brasenose Chapel across, it’s well worth traversing.

However very soon it ends, with arrival in Radcliffe Square.
