Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Tracy C3 contributionsHidden gem of a museum. All about Oxford and the city's history. Very warm welcome from the young lady on the front desk, and the volunteers came up to introduce themselves by name. Would recommend it - also chance to get inside the beautiful town hallWritten 16 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - christiano_10Tczew, Poland555 contributionsThis House is simply a sanctuary for all fans of C.S.Lewis. Remember to book a tour in advance, at least two weeks. If you miss it, don't be afraid to ask the people living inside any questions, they are all extremely friendly. I was lucky to meet Kim, who is an amazing person.
The nature reserve where Lewis spent lots of time is right around the corner, don't miss it.Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I learned quite a few very interesting things about Oxford by doing this visit to its Castle & Prison. Super interesting. The guided tour is excellent and lasts about an hour (a bit more, which is great because you are really enjoying it while it lasts), then you are free to roam around at your leisure. Our guide she was wonderful: knowledgeable, engaging, funny. The exhibition is very well thought of, panels, pictures, objects guiding you through history in a smart way, not heavy or dull at all. I had a wonderful time.Written 18 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
