Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Sanne132013Oxford, UK11 contributionsFantastic! Creative! Funny! Much Ado about Nothing - I came July 2023. It took place in a playground, using the equipment the children usually play on. True to their name these lovely people are incredibly creative in their approach to all plays. The acting was incredible, from rolling eyes to little nuances in facial movements. The costumes and music particularly fun if you were around in the 80/90s. I mean, Elvis as a Vicar! Need I say more? Come and watch. You will not regret it. A wonderful night out!?.Written 29 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rayhana B3 contributionsBeautiful theatre, very close by to lots of eateries if you wanted a meal before a show.
The theatre was a good size and clean.
Be careful as this theatre does fall within the charging zone in Oxford.Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Only 2 hours before the performance, we managed to get - from the box-office which was open - two of the last 20 tickets.Written 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Northcoast_FlyerBelmont, CA321 contributionsWe discovered the Holywell Music Room and Oxford Sunday morning Coffee Concerts years ago when we lived nearby. A recent return visit found it as wonderful as ever. This is a unique Oxford experience. The purpose-built hall creates an intimate opportunity to hear outstanding soloists and chamber groups, Stroll up the street afterwards and show your ticket for a coffee at the historic King's Arms. Check the website for the monthly concert schedule. Tickets ordered by phone must be picked up by 11:00 for the 11:15 performance. A few standbys may be available but best to reserve ahead.Written 18 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jon the SconeMaidenhead, UK156 contributionsWe watched a production of Sherlock Holmes and the Crimson Cobbles here on a weekend trip to Oxford. The theatre is tidy, clean and well presented. The cafe upstairs has a good range of food and drink (you can pay by card but have to go downstairs). The staff are friendly and helpful too :-)
The actual stage area is lovely and intimate - makes the play so much more immersive. Would thoroughly recommend. Be warned that it doesn't seem like there's much, if any parking. Wasn't an issue for us as we were walking, so we'd suggest you try and do the same if possible.Written 29 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Parking is tricky, so give yourself plenty of time to park up. All good in the theatre, but the bar staff! They are well meaning but so slow and vague. Obviously a team of volunteers, they take an age to serve you.Written 23 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jessica H2 contributionsJericho Comedy at the Common Ground coffee shop is AMAZING! I have been going there every month or so for the last year and every time I have a great evening. Alex is the host and he does an amazing job of wooing the crowd every single time! The vibe of the coffee shop is so cozy that it feels really comfortable and welcoming!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FUN SATURDAY NIGHT OF LAUGHS!Written 20 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Generally good fun but a rather unpleasant anti-semitic jokes from a Canadian comic.Written 3 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lyn E1 contributionI spent an amazing two weeks vacation at Royalton Grenada in October. It's the best vacation that I have had.
The staff was helpful, friendly and polite.
My room was beautiful, clean and comfortable with a stunning view.
There were plenty of activities for everyone, including Aqua aerobics, excursions and evening entertainment where the guests could participate if they choose to do so.
I love the food which was delicious, fresh and plentiful especially the buffet restaurant.
I will definitely visit Royalton Grenada again and recommend this all-inclusive resort to everyone.

- Abstar M1 contributionWent to Jo Whiley night - she was great, the show was fab - but one bad thing made me rethink going there - over £16 for 2 drinks!!! (pint and a rum and coke)
This place is ripping people off with those prices!Written 19 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Anna D6 contributionsI have had the pleasure of attending a whole bunch of comedy nights produced by QED Comedy Laboratory: It's Debatable (where comedians draw motions from a hat then have to make up arguments - with hilarious results!), Punderstruck (quick fire puns), and a huge range of other fun formats. They never fail to make me laugh with a diverse range of local comedians and those who come from far and wide to perform at these nights specially. If you're visiting Oxford and want a flavour of the arts scene here, a QED show is perfect. Most shows are only a fiver too, which is great value given the quality!Written 16 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
