Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Bob MSouthampton, UK34 contributionsMy wife myself and our Grandson visited Oxford Golf Club for lunch and the quality of the food and service were excellent. Hayden the Chef, Leeane our waitress and Ian the Bar Steward could not have been more helpful on what was a very busy day for them.
The quality of the lunch itself was excellent and very good value for money. We would not hesitate to recommend a visit Oxford Golf Club for lunch or dinner and will certainly be returning in the future.Written 21 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The clubhouse staff were very friendly and the food was of a good standard.Written 20 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian WBath, UK21 contributionsI rarely write reviews on golf clubs but feel in this case I have to. My friends and I purchased two four ball rounds at Studley Wood that had been donated to a local charity. We were very overwhelmed with welcome we were given on arrival. The owner Ken seems ever present in the clubhouse and was there to make sure we had everything we needed. All the staff (many from Ukraine) were cheerful and couldn't do enough for us. The chef Ian produced some wonderful food for us and made sure we were served quickly before our two hour trip home. The club house itself is comfortable with a well stocked shop, comfortable eating area as well as some comfy ares to lounge after your game. The Course itself was extremely well presented especially the greens which we thought were quite quick ( we were told they are usually quicker) Many of the holes are tree lined and there are also numerous ponds and lakes. The only downside, I didn't do the course justice. thanks once again to Tom Baker who donated the four ball and for Ian and his staff for looking after us.Written 3 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mulv2222Oxfordshire18 contributionsWithout doubt the best in the area. Went down with my son and it was great. Really professional staff, flexible pricing so we were able to just fill up with balls and play. Huge American Golf store onsite and PGA professional coaches to book with if you wanted to. Great coffee - just a fab experience. Will be back for sure.Written 18 September 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
