Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a combined history talk followed by a tour. The subject was on the WW2 bombing of the People’s Pantry and other parts of Reading.
It comes across that Terry is passionate about history! It was fascinating to hear the history whilst visiting the area where it happened. I would recommend Terry's walks and I plan to go on more in future.

We signed up for a one-evening wine and cheese pairing event and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have been to quite a few wine tastings and I give a couple each year to the wine circle of which I'm a member, but Alex takes it to a level way above any others. His depth and breadth of knowledge are immense, but he still makes it approachable and fun. I certainly learnt a lot during the two hour session and had a good time in the process.

We bought our tickets online and arrived at the specified time and place. The boat that we went on was the Caversham Princess and it was docked along the south side of the Thames river just outside the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Reading. They check everyone in against their list of people. Everyone was seated on the covered upper deck at 2 or 4-person tables along the 2 sides of the boat. The staff of the tea service did an absolutely amazing job of serving and presenting. They constantly checked on us throughout the cruise to make sure that any questions were answered or that our teapot was full. Additionally, the staff of the boat offered non-tea alternatives for those wanting a little more to the drink options. The food that was served was sandwiches and desserts. I would recommend skipping lunch and just eating on the boat as I had to leave some of the food. While you are enjoying your tea service you are cruising down the Thames river. Our cruise took us from the Caversham Bridge to The Mapledurham Lock/dam and back to the starting point. Overall this was a lovely experience touring the Thames while enjoying an afternoon tea.

Awesome couple of days spent canoeing from Reading to Henley with an overnight stay at the Great House in Sonning. Just a beautiful stretch of the Thames. Couldn't be more grateful to have a mobile number if needed and communication was great for pick up and return back to the yard to collect our car. Top trip. Thank you

Good 4x4 experience driving through 8 acres of reclaimed land. There is plenty to try and pit your driving skills against. This is a good fun off road experience and our instructor Andrew was very friendly and helpful.
The only downside was how long it took with 4 people driving in the car, you get three laps each swapping over after every lap. 5 adults with no working back windows on a sunny day was a little uncomfortable.
Defiantly one to try and would recommend anyone to give it a go once, would I go back probably no.

Great way to spend some time with a leisurely paced boat ride around. It was great to get another view point of Reading and some bits of history about the places we passed. Lovely guide and drivers.

Went on the Lost Railways tour. Dave was very knowledgeable and although I've lived in Reading for over 30 years I learnt so much. Walk was a nice distance and finished back near the town centre which was perfect. Will definitely be thinking of doing some more tours with Dave in the future.

My partner and I had a private session with Julia on 23 Aug. It was the best experience!! Julia was very thorough with the training on land and then stayed close to us while we went through the process on water. We learnt several turning techniques and were standing up before we knew it. We even had time for a bit of yoga on the board!! The time went by so quickly and it’s something we will definitely be doing again in the future. Would highly recommend Julia - it was fun, interesting and of course safe!

Took my son here for his first waterskiing lesson. Wow. What an amazing day. The most secluded lake and wonderfully calm location (we did go on a quiet day to be honest). The lake is perfect and calm. Our instructor was fantastic in helping him start on the bar, and then quickly got him up and able to get him on to the rope "with confidence" really quickly. So impressed both with the level of coaching, the entire ethos and manner of all of the staff, the serenity, good nature and ethos of the people and th eplace and it's just brilliant as a location as well for water skiing. We'll be going back, for sure.

We have just returned from a week on Caversham Earl. We knew the boat was not the most up to date, so were expecting to perhaps have some downsides with it, but in fact we were delighted and for us it was a good choice. Too cramped for four people though in our view. True, it's had a few scuffs and scrapes in its time, but the layout is excellent for two people, with sliding roof you can position as you wish, good sized shower room and aft cabin, with plenty of cupboard space. Bed was reasonably comfortable. All in full working order and we had a most enjoyable week. Fabulous weather -at times too hot, but we erected our large sunshade/ umbrella and had the roof half open which worked well. Staff at Caversham were most helpful and efficient. We covered 70 miles in the week - nice pubs along the way for meals out. Finding mooring places was no real problem though public free moorings are not plentiful and it's best to grab them fairly early.

We had a lovely time on The Fat Swan celebrating our Auntie's 90th Birthday Party. Not only did we have a delicous 3 course lunch but we enjoyed a cruise along the Thames in beautiful sunshine. The staff were very good and had provided everything we had asked for including a highchair. The skipper was very friendly and informative. He also turned his hand to photography so all the family could be in the pictures. We would certainly use them again.

We’ve done lots of trails and we always enjoy them. They are a great way to discover out-of-the-way places that you might not visit otherwise and there’s always a huge sense of achievement once you complete a trail.
We recently had an issue with one of the trails so I emailed their HQ and they replied within an hour so, perfectly resolving the issue and making me a very happy customer. I recommend them not only because the trails are great fun but because their customer service is outstanding.

Never blanked here, fishing can be tricky but isn’t that the point (it’s called fishing not catching) had 2 from the far bank opposite the lodge on hothead damsel, one on the point opposite the island on a Candy blob and one from Lilly lake on a Minky booby on a clear intermediate

Laura did the best nails I’ve ever had at the salon. I had a full acrylic set in silver and some gold nail art. Professional and friendly.
