- therichastillStevenage, UK3,237 contributionsSheffield Cathedral is on Church Street which the Supertram runs along. There are plenty of trams leaving from outside the cathedral to various parts of the city. There are also quite a few buses leaving from near here as well.
You do not have to pay to enter the cathedral and it is a really lovely place to visit. I would recommend spending time in silent contemplation here. It is a holy place.
There is a cafe here and there is a very good gift shop which has a wide variety of Christian products and also Sheffield and Yorkshire souvenirs on sale.

My grandfather was born on Beauchief Abbey Farm and my great grandfather was buried in the graveyard having farmed there for years. I lived for many years within walking distance but had never visited. I could not believe that there was such a beautiful, peaceful oasis in the centre of Sheffield. So much history dating back to the 12th century. What a wonderful place to have lived. - Kathryn SSheffield, UK503 contributionsFantastic trip to teach year1 about Islam. Friendly knowledge volunteer showed us round and made jokes to put children at ease. Showed us various parts of the magnificent mosque and how it was paid for and how it ran. It's an absolutely stunning venue equipped with a kitchen ,sound system, projector ,screen and excellent WiFi.
The room function room is on the third floor accessed by a beautiful spiral staircase or lift.
We hired the Chapel for a Greenpeace Valentine's day Curry & Quiz event and the staff could not have been more helpful.

I am very very disappointed with lack of this facilities. Clearly had no time to speak with me as a client, I wanted a simple change and instead asked me what I am wearing and breathing heavy down the phone!
