Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Kathy P3 contributionsFun and informative. You definitely come away wanting to make more pasta. I was on my own amongst couples which was fine and it just worked nicely. I would definitely recommend even if you are solo.
A proper lesson but in a fun atmosphere.Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I had a great day cooking and learning some new vegan recipes and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. There was a combination of cooking myself and watching Lydia cook too. A nice part of the day was eating with the rest of the students with 2 sittings taking place upstairs in the dining room. We all had plenty of food to take home and it was all delicious. Most of the fresh ingredients were from the local farm which is also good to know. I recommend Demuths to anyone with an interest in learning how to cook healthy food and improve their overall diet and health.Written 17 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joanne P20 contributionsSimi came to our lovely vacation rental and imparted some of her culinary wisdom. We then enjoyed a marvelous Moghul feast. We had a good deal of fun learning tips and tricks, and she cooked so much we had several meals out of the evening!Written 9 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheBeastysNewport, Wales15 contributionsAttended the course of preparing meals in 30 minutes with my friend for the day. It was just the two of us on the course. From the second we arrived Peter was friendly, warm, interesting an entertaining. I cook at home but it was nice to try new recipes which were all utterly delicious - you could eat them there or pack and bring them home (or both). Added bonus being the wine shop downstairs if you cant get through cooking without a glass. A very chilled but fun way to spend an afternoon and would return for sure. Thank you Peter.Written 26 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paul SBath, UK9 contributionsMy wife and I did the bread making course recently which was excellent. The course was taught by Andy Tyrrell who was not just an expert but also a terrific instructor who imparted a great deal of knowledge to us in quiet and understated way. It was very "hands on", the group was very small (5 attendees) and we made a lot of things. The Vale House Kitchen venue was charming and the host, Bod, was also very knowledgeable and welcoming with the whole day being about the customer and the customer experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this course if you are interested. Based my own experience, I will look at doing another course with them on something else (e.g., fishing, butchery, etc) as I would expect it to be just as interesting and enjoyable. It was honestly a great day out!Written 7 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
