- Rae H5 contributionsHad a lovely couple of hours floating peacefully along the Kennet and Avon Canal for a girlies afternoon . Prosecco and cream teas along with some history about the canal, boat and the area. The captain Jenks and wife Helen were perfect hosts! Bridgeton tour with guide Ariana. She was very pleasant and made the tour very enjoyable.
Her love of the period drama shone through and had a lot of knowledge to impart while showing us around the filming areas and able to offer lots of interesting facts.
Our driver Alan was brilliant and despite getting held up trying to escape Bournemouth and it's horrendous road works everywhere just kept his cool and I felt very safe.
Gail was our tour guide on the coach and around Bath. Again very pleasant and helpful.

Honestly such a lovely experience and Emma made the day brilliant so thank you Emma! We stayed for two nights early May Bank Holiday in the Garden Room and it's such a lovely room, very very clean with everything you need for your B&B self catering stay. It's so peaceful and relaxing with a beautiful view of the river and wildlife and eating our breakfast both mornings, we were joined by Meme the gorgeous and very friendly resident dog ❤️ We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived in the carpark, where we met Steve, who was really friendly also very informative and helpful, especially advising us to check the Bath version of ULEZ and the daily charge, so we are not caught out with a hefty bill at home, thankfully we were not eligible according to GOV website. We were also told about the boat trip you can have into Bath from the wooden boarding platform at the Boating Station, that leaves at 9:30 and free of charge (one way only) which was a lovely start to our last day in Bath. Would 100% return here when we get the chance, a lovely 20-25 min walk from the City, back to peace and tranquility of the river. - Ann ATaunton, UK35 contributionsWe were celebrating a family significant birthday and wanted something different in Bath to the usual hotels and B&B's. I stumbled across the website for Bath Narrowboats and that they offer Boutique B&B on their barges. We stayed for 1 night on Top Dollar and it was fantastic, the décor and space were exactly what we were looking for and it was most certainly something we were looking for. The facilities were good although it would have been nice to have had a dishwasher, but that really wasn't an issue and certainly in places the boat looked a little tired i.e. end of season scuffed paintwork but again that didn't detract from our experience. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us and were mortified that we hadn't told them sooner we had experienced an issue with both toilets, that was our fault and not theirs as I am sure they would have rectified sooner had we told them. I would recommend this company and would use them again. You have to wait a little longer for the Pulteney Princess as she does fewer trips than her rival boat companies, but she's cheaper for a single trip (ÂŁ5) and comes with a great guide to take you along the river.
We took her back to Bath from Bathampton Mill, and the guide had a really interesting commentary that was engaging, and peppered with the perfect amount of jokes to keep you hooked. The speakers were just about loud enough to hear over the engine comfortably, but if you're hard of hearing I don't know how much you'll manage to make out.

I had THE BEST time, and I think the kids did too!! For me it was an amazing experience - even when I got pushed in by one of the kids!! Thank you to our instructors John (and a lady whose name I didn’t catch sorry), who were both brilliant, so patient and really reassuring. We were all standing in our boards by the end - some longer than others but we did it!!! Definitely recommend and will 100% be going again! - Siobainn CChilcompton, UK6 contributionsWe held our wedding reception on the Penny Lane and had a fantastic time. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was very good. Our family and friends haven't stopped talking about what a wonderful time they had and how memorable it was. We would highly recommend this venue for family or corporate events.
On the upper deck it had a lovely relaxed atmosphere while we cruised down the river. The lower deck offered a real party atmosphere where you could dance the night away under the stars (lighting effect).
Thank you to Deborah and Andrea for helping make our wedding such a brilliant occasion.
