Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- chicag0traveler_11Saint Louis, MO79 contributionsBeautiful park. Recommend taking an Uber or the bus to the park entrance. It’s a steep walk down, but absolutely enchanting. The Tea House also is a nice spot to get a drink and enjoy the views. Would recommend exiting near the tea house and walking back into Bath. Quaint streets and a lovely little church to explore on the way.Written 5 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lucy TIsle of Wight, UK1,451 contributionsI would recommend a visit here. Free to enter and the wildlife doesn’t mind you at all. We had squirrels, wood pigeons and jays all in close proximity to us which was a real treat! There were also plenty of lovely flowers, water features and benches to sit on and relax.Written 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sam3314Derby, UK2,087 contributionsLittle maze near the river. It's a path maze so you can just hop to the centre and admire the mosaic or take the time and walk the path.Written 1 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sam3314Derby, UK2,087 contributionsFound this thanks to another review. Lovely quiet spot behind the Circus, enter via the path down from the Crescent (go left at the first junction). Free to enter. Fascinating to see the research done to allow them to recreate the garden.Written 1 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HINA WIslamabad, Pakistan7,358 contributionsYou can find this garden near the Orange Grove in Bath. It is located adjacent to the east wall of the Bath Abbey. Initially this area was a part of the Abbey Churchyard. After the dissolution of monasteries by King Henry VIII it turned into a vacant space. In 1730 it was landscaped into the shape of a garden with lovely gravelled pathways. When the Duke of Orange got sick and visited Bath for it’s waters, Beau Nash got an Obilisk built here in 1734 to celebrate his recovery. Orange groves were also planted at that time. On 5th May,1945 on the event of liberation of Netherlands, this garden was renamed as Alkmaar Garden. I feel that this garden commemorates and strengthens the bond between Bath and Alkmaar.Written 16 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
