Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were lucky, the weather was really nice, we visited on a ‘non bank holiday’ so people were at work or at school so there were no crowds. We decided to walk from the town centre and that was a nice part of the experience. It didn’t take long to get there (25 mins) and it was a part of the experience, leaving the town and walking out into the countryside.

Everything about the cottage has been maintained to the highest standards by the Trust. Their staff are an absolute credit, the grounds so welcoming and an absolute delight. Like many, we purchased the Shakespeare Story ticket which means we can return within 12 months and we will. Just have to see if we can get lucky again with the weather and avoiding the crowds.

Weather was a bit miserable so we decided to chance the boat trip. Glad we did Dino and Dan were brilliant. Dino made everyone feel welcome keeping us all entertained involving everyone on board
Dan made sure the trip was smooth.
Throughly enjoyed would recommend if visiting

We picked a wonderful week for our first ever visit to Stratford. The weather was terrific, sunny and bright but not too hot. It wasn’t a bank holiday so people were at work or at school. The net result, peaceful canal walks everyday. Throw in the odd ice cream during the stroll and you couldn’t ask for more, especially if you enjoy walking for miles as we do.

This site is the last home William Shakespeare spent his life in. When I arrived, I joined the presentation in progress about the history of the house. Fascinating place with lots of scandal and intrigue before and since it’s most famous owner resided there. After the talk I toured the gardens, which were a good size and very well maintained. I especially enjoyed the sculptures around it. Last, I went into the indoor exhibit, which is pretty small, and featured some archeological remnants. Most of what there is to see is outside, so I don’t recommend it for a rainy day.

We only saw Hall's Croft from the open top bus which slowed down so we could get a good look. The gate looked closed though so don't know if you can go in anyway.

Good gravel surface. Nice cafe half way. Easy parking. Clean and tidy. Busy but not an issue. Pleasant countryside.

We love this park, something for all ages, even sand play and pool. Ice cream van is always there. The only downside for us, is the aweful toilets, they really need updating.
Close to the butterfly farm and river, plenty of parking, except during school holidays (go very early).
    Plenty of pic nice space.

The Aon Bank gardens and the walk along the river is just beautiful. Bridges and pathways and the river itself. What more do you need?

I went with my kids and they loved it, the people operating the boat was talkative and lovely… and considering the price it was well worth it

Lovely walk all uphill from the Riverside caravan site. Great views from the top on a nice clear day and an obelisk in memory of a local MP.

I can’t recommend this highly enough. We took our 7 year old who is fascinated by reptiles and insects and the whole family had a really good time. We all immediately felt in very safe hand with the jungle ranger and he was brilliant with the kids, very quickly overcoming any shyness or nerves. He spoke with such enthusiasm and knowledge about his animals and without being at all patronising or talking down to the kids. We all learned a lot and those of us who wanted to loved getting to hold, touch and feed a great variety of insects and reptiles. As it was just the four of us there, it felt really personalised and much more relaxed than a kids animal party. Without lots of other people and noise, the kids were able to really focus and to spend a good bit of time with each creature. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A really amazing place to fish. Since being taken over you can see the new owner and baliff have been busy. Different lakes for all types of fishing.

The grounds are really well presented and the fact the owner and baliff come round often to talk adds to the experience.

A real unknown gem of a place.

If visiting please respect the fishery and owner. If not it won't be available.
