Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- jess hManchester, UK11 contributionsReally enjoyed the comedy at Glee club, our favourite was the Dr. Michael Akadiri - so genuinely funny without needing to be vulgar. Service was good, drinks brought to the table and reasonably priced. The food however, appalling, considering it’s the easiest food to make, nachos and pizzas. Pizza base was burnt and cheese hardly cooked? Nachos awful too. We had been warned about the food so suppose it’s our own fault really.
The food could be brilliant there and it would make it such a better experience!!
Another comment would be there was a drunk girl at the back heckling which was so annoying and was disturbing the performers. Can’t help that I suppose but perhaps someone could have had a word with her. She had fallen asleep on her boyfriend by the end anyway lolWritten 7 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Prompt start to venue. Excellent comedy acts kept us laughing all night.Inly gripe couple talking while 1 act was on but he soon told them to "shut the f..k up" saying what everyone else was thinking. Brilliant night will definitely returnWritten 14 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nicki GTelford, UK4 contributionsFirst time at a comedy club and if that's the usual standard of comedian then I won't bother again. There was a few laughs but nothing amazing. The only saving fact is we didn't pay fill price - highly recommend Groupon or others to get it cheaper, then at ÂŁ7 each it doesn't seem so bad. Will save my money and go see a top comedian next time. The venue is a let down, sat in rows like at a school play.Written 13 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - vavavoom2016Birmingham, UK17 contributionsThe acts are the acts, depends who is performing the show I saw was good. The bar is very poor. Lager was cloudy and expensive. Bottle bear very expensive. No lemon or ice available for Gin and Tonics.Written 17 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
