Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went on the morning tour with Dee on 27th September. She was a great guide, informative and entertaining, and clearly loves what she does - and is so good at!
I've taken lots of walking tours and this was one of the most enjoyable.
Dee, if you ever come to Perugia let me know!

Edward was great, a nice mix of humour and facts, for locals as we are we had chance to see some great architecture and street scenes, nice and casual, was perfect for us.

We absolutely enjoyed this tour on a rainy day! Our guide Jonathan had a great interaction with everyone in the group and he managed to combine a couple of centuries of history into an exciting narrative! He is also knowledgeable in terms of street art and overall a great story teller! We had a great time and got introduced to Brummie in the best possible way :) Would definitely recommend!

Great place to go with the family. My teenagers loved it and had lots of fun.
Not so good to children under 5, there is nothing for them to do.
Not even a little play area for them or any toys. This was a shame as we had activities booked in for the teenagers all day and it was hard to keep the 3 year old and 1 year old entertained.

Staff were very nice and friendly. The activities my teens done were very good too.

Just the lack of thought for younger Children in the group wasn’t very good.

    Still a good day tho.

If bringing young ones makes sure you bring things for them to do haha!

Very good tour with stops at views, buildings and toilets. We don’t come from Birmingham and found it hard to find start point.
We did the audio version following next stops on map but no directions to go after viewing the stop are given on audio. It wasn’t till we finished the tour we discovered that the written version had directions to next stop. Information given at site stops was good, funny and we really enjoyed the Round house and the library. We did look at Secret garden and viewpoint at library. Worth doing.
Look at written version for directions (might be worth adding to audio).

Tour of Bham city centre was fun and went to some unique drinking establishments. Edward was really fun to talk too and was good company to share a drink with!

Would definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a fun tour with information about the peaky blinders and old gangs of Birmingham.

It also pays off to pay attention to the detail 😉.

This was an excellent tour full of amazing information about the art and artists on the tour. I’ve lived in Birmingham for thirty-three years but there were quite a few pieces I didn’t know about. I’m now looking into doing another one of Jonathan’s tour later in the year.

thoroughly enjoyed the tour--learnt so much about Digbeth--which I have through on the Coventry Road but never really looked. We really found very useful the audio system that Jonathan uses. My husband has a hearing problem but heard every word
Many thanks for a very informative morning walk. Plan to do another one of your tours in the future

Reading the reviews before I booked I can wholeheartedly agree that Marcia is one heck of a guide.

We walked and talked and I listened and learned, occasionally adding my own relevant experiences of Handsworth.

It was an honest, informative, eye-opening and enjoyable walk.

I look forward to experiencing many more walks that Black Heritage offer and to meet the rest of the Black Heritage team soon.

    Thank you Marcia

Lots of jellerery shops and nice area not too far from centre. Disappointed museum was closed but can't be helped. Buildings were lovely especially the clock tower

Very knowledgeable guide. She knew the contours of the city well and addressed my questions. Just wish more of Birmingham was open to tourists. There is an interesting history of the city that remains untold. Many of the sites remain closed or have very limited hours.
