Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There's work being done in the square so it's closed off but the top of the memorial stands defiantly above the barricades. Clearly it's a piece of art. Must come again to have a better look.

Located on Centenary Square in front of the wonderful Symphony Hall is Centenary Square Fountain ,a superb water feature that day or night looks superb.
Its a modern fountain ,a big square pond with shooting spouts of water ,I must say that on a hot day the fountain looked very cooling and to be honest very inviting, I would have loved to dip my feet in these waters to cool down,The Centenary Square Fountain adds to the joy of working through this pretty square in the heart of Birmingham.
Easy to locate on Centenary Square, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Comprising a number of elements it’s a tremendous sculptural creation. All courtesy of the Indian sculptor Dhruva Mistry who in the early 1990s won an International Competition for the Square's central water feature.

In the upper part is a female figure representing life. Moving downwards is Youth symbolised by two young figures sitting across from each other with a little fountain in between.

Large Sphinx like figures decorated with bas reliefs of swirling motifs stand Guardian.

Located on Victoria Square is a now filled on fountain known as The River Fountain and in the centre of the fountain is a cool looking statue known as the Rivers Statue or as it is known locally " The Floozie In The Jacuzzi " there are also a couple of little figures known as Youth but these are now overshadow by the Rivers Statue which is huge and the work of sculptor Dhruva Mistry and the foliage that now acts as a base for the now defunct fountain.
The statues are very cool ,makes for some great photographic opportunities and adds to the joy of walking through Victoria Square.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
