Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Total shambles. Had to track someone down to order a drink as no-one serving at the bar.. 2 out of the 4 bar snacks weren’t available. No mojitos, no lucky saint low alcohol lager. Huge queue to check in which took approx 20 mins..

We paid £5 for a small bag of beef jerky which was very underwhelming and very overpriced!

    No soap in the toilets.

When bowling the family next to us we’re kicking off as a member of staff had asked them politely to just use the one lane when bowling. The member of staff was subject to racist abuse and was not removed by management/ security, which is just awful and management really need to ensure the safety of their staff is paramount.

The shooting game did not work so out of 6 of us only 2 could play.

Overall, we just felt very sorry for the staff, who were all lovely.. but massively understaffed on a really busy day.

    Fun experience.

    Friendly, welcoming and speedy service.

    Good value for money.

All kept very clean with lots of different sized bowling balls.

The animation videos accompanying your turn were very funny!

It was really helpful to set up names before going so no time was wasted once there.

    Plenty of space to sit.

Is dark and felt ‘trendy’ so might not be for everyone but overall a fun hour.

Had a great time bowling for my niece's 13th birthday today - we all loved it! The receptionist was so friendly & helpful, everyone had great time and want to go again soon. The kids enjoyed the quality branded snacks (canned/bottled drinks, crisps & chocolate) and having their own bowling booth. I highly recommended the Executive Lounge and will definitely be booking to go again, the venue is perfect for young teens, with good music. Located just behind Moor St Station for those getting the train.

Have booked for two games on Saturday evening for four families. Place was packed and as their website says, it is strongly recommended to book in advance. Gentleman at the counter helped us chose the best package. Price is inclusive of a pair of shoe. There is an option to buy disposable socks as well.

Lanes are well maintained. It was quite loud with a lot of screaming and laughter, of course it has to be like that.

They have few other machines for kids to play which made it a bit challenging as my 3 year old son kept going that instead of bowling.

Washroom are clean. Shoes are maintained hygienically by using hygiene spray. They have ample parking. Did not try their restaurant as we had a dinner plan after the game elsewhere.

Highly recommend this for a couple of games.

Visited during school holidays. Car park was disgraceful on arrival. Inside refurb great but the service at the bar was awful. I went with someone in a wheelchair and a baby to find the disabled toilets were closed. This toilet also had baby changing in so we had to go to morrisons for both to go to the toilet!

Firstly, I’d like to mention that my partner and I had a great time, we played two games of bowling, and I’d ordered him and I drinks to our lane a few minutes into our first game. After about 15/20 minutes we had finished our first game and already into our second. By the way, we weren’t rushing, so we had given them time to make the drinks. My partner needed to go to the loo, so I told him to take my phone with him and ask where our drinks are, he comes back and says that there is only one staff member at the bar/front desk area meaning it’s going to take a while. Personally, I understand if you’re understaffed then I don’t mind waiting a little while, but by the time the man brought our drinks over we’d almost finished our second/last game and we had to even slow our own game down to be able to sit down and enjoy a drink before we have to be kicked off our lane. So in total we waited 30 minutes for 2 cocktails and a pint of beer.

Secondly, there isn’t any time management or management at all in grant place, or any morale to get staff in the mood to serve people quicker. When we had finished bowling and went over to the pool area, I noticed some of the staff just standing there on their phones, and for someone who was “too busy” not so long ago it looks a little suspicious that he’s now just stood laughing on his phone. I don’t have a problem with anyone being on their phone, I do it myself sometimes at work but only when it’s not busy.

Then when we had finished with the arcade games, we wanted to get our little ticket prizes. So we asked the same man if we could redeem our prizes and he just had an attitude on him, just slamming them on the table in front of us, no manners or politeness at all.

and, yes this review seems daunting but even after the disappointing my partner and I still made the best out of it. We didn’t want the whole trip to be ruined.

Sensory overload if you have children with autism. Flashing lights, music so loud you can't hear the staff and they don't do autism days or autism mornings/evenings, instead saying to come during the week during school hours. Not ideal when your kids are at school on a week day. Annoying I pre-ordered tango ice blasts online to be told they had none but could have a slush puppy instead. I had paid £4.25 each for 3 large tango ice blasts so came to £12.75 and instead offered me a large slush that was £2.25. Tried to speak to a manager regarding a refund but no one came to, instead I was given 4 slush puppies and no change meaning they had a free tip of £3.50 for poor service. Would I go again? Yes, but only first thing in the morning in the hopes that it would be quieter with less flashy lights and quieter music. Can't comment on food as didnt order but it was £7 for a burger which is a bit steep and fries were extra. I know they do offers tho if you book online such as 1 game and a burger meal for a tenner.
