Great service! Always on time, which is very important when travelling to an airport. Always clean and comfortable on board. The coach pictured was purple. However when it arrived it was white and said private hire. It was dirty. The toilet was blocked from previous us, and looked smoke damaged and had no tap fitted. The coach had flies.
The shelves above was dirty with bottle and rubbish. Totally shocking. The coach was comfortable and our tour guide and driver were excellent (Jackie and Joe).
However the choice of hotel was poor. It was sold to us as a 4⭐️ hotel with all rooms having a river view. The rooms did have river views but that’s where the 4⭐️ grading finishes. The rooms were poorly furnished with just one reading lamp between two people. The furniture looked like it had been made in a school carpentry lesson. The bathroom had a rusty vent and a door that looked like a dog had chewed it. The balcony was filthy and didn’t look like it had been cleaned for months ie no spring clean. The breakfast was adequate but certainly not 4⭐️. The evening meal (which had to be ordered the day before) was very poor. It was obvious these meals were prepared hours before being served and either left on a hot plate or quickly warmed in a microwave. The potatoes from one day were served the next and called something else. I like vegetarian meals and one day choose a veggie roulade which turned out to be a couple of chickpeas rolled in pastry!
This sort of meal reminded me of a cheap B&B in the 1970’s.
