Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- JohnPontefract, UK2 contributionsWe visited the Comedy Club a couple of years ago at a different venue next door to the now defunct 'Tiger Tiger' and it was much better than this one. We coughed up an extra ÂŁ20 for a booth which was situated behind the speakers, so we couldn't hear the sound very clearly. Also the bar was so expensive - 3 bottles of Peroni and a Koppenberg for ÂŁ20.20. The compere was much funnier than the 1st two acts. The main act of the night was spot on and very funny. Just a pity we could not hear everything he said very clearly. The Prizm is not a good comedy venue in my opinion.Written 15 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wayne SOtley, UK5 contributionsAWSOME night. Great entertainment and the hosts were so much fun. Toilets are a little rustic but very clean. Would thoroughly recommend this establishmentWritten 25 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JTMS_87Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom3 contributionsFor those new to improv, it's a comedy event where a group of people present a series of different games, and use audience suggestions to create amusing situations.
I enjoy going to stand-up comedy but this group has been my first experience of improv. The shows are varied with different games to suit different tastes e.g. physical comedy in a game like Chinese Whispers/Telephone, or wordplay/punning in a "Things you're unlikely to hear at..."
As it's based on audience suggestions, not every joke/quip will be pant wettingly funny but the variety on offer means you get a really diverse show, and there'll definitely be fresh things to enjoy. Eddie Izzard once famously had a complaint from trading standards as his show promised all new material. With improv you're definitely getting all new material because you provide the material!
Don't worry if you prefer to sit back at comedy shows though. That shouldn't be a barrier to going as you don't have to add written/verbal suggestions for the games, if you don't want to. Or if you like to get really involved then that's catered for too - in one game the troop played out my wife and I's life so far!
I've seen the group around three times now and they're serious about making you laugh. They won't strap you down and tickle you until you crack, but they practice the skills regularly, and are really investing in improv-ing (their puns are better!) the staging, etc.
I think I'm a harsher critic than most trip advisors - I've been to a fair few meals at restaurants reviewed at 4.3+ when they were 2.5/3s for me. So for me 4/5 is a really good show, and the group are getting better all the time.
Next work-do, stag-do or nothing-to-do give them a shot.Written 16 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I can't say they ever use offensive content and even before March lockdown they refused any Covid content probably due to sensitivity. The show is better with an audience who's up for it and participates so you have a bearing on your own night. Always love Chris as MC but Tom King riding on a Unicorn speaking in a Welsh accent is my best memory. I missed a show once and was contacted by Mandy who was a little concerned at my absence as it was unusual . She reached out and I returned for the next show. Keep up the good work comedy friends.Written 14 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
