Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- David G7 contributionsFirstly, I thought ÂŁ50 for two adults and a five year old was alot but its a new place and maybe really good facilities which would make up for it.
Pulling in to the car park I saw paystations, so they're already extracting more money although its not huge, ÂŁ3 for 3 hours. We arrived shortly after the session start and there wasn't really a queue, got straight in. When getting our boots I found out that Penguins are extra, I needed to go and pay, another ÂŁ7.
There's a lack of seating on the ground level, when you get your boots there's nowhere to go as the few benches are taken up.
My first set of boots were completely blunt, I explained to the girl in the boot room that I was struggling with them and the second set she gave me were great. I expect anyone just starting would have not known and struggled on with them and not learnt a thing.
Got to lunch time and the boy was hungry, tried to get a snack from the vending machines but we couldn't pay with either a Apple or Android phone. So went to the cafe, you cant go in with boots so we used the hole in the wall, unfortunately they had no meals as there was an ice hockey game earlier and it'd all gone. Maybe it was a surprise game, as I didn't get that excuse.
Did I mention there's not any seating, we had to sit on the floor to drink our drinks and eat our snacks. We could have taken our boots off and sat in the stands but its a faff and would have made our already wet socks wetter.
The staff were all really nice. The ice skating was good it was quite busy but everyone was respectful and it had a really nice atmosphere.
So, we had a nice time and will go ice skating again but I will check what the alternatives are, I'd probably travel further for a better experience.Written 29 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Flyer244623606151 contributionTook my eight year old son for a trial class this morning. Nice environment! And I was seriously impressed by the teaching. Good mix of calm discipline, clear instruction and energetic physical play. Son loved it. I give it 10 out of 10. He gave it 20 out of 10. We'll join.Written 6 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
