Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- moirasheardLeeds, UK117 contributionsI was given this pottery experience as a gift and what a fantastic present . 3 evenings of handbuilding, potters wheel and pottery painting . Hours of relaxation and some “masterpieces” to take home at the end! Such friendly staff, great tuition and advice and potentially the start of a new hobby. Thoroughly enjoyed it. - Hannah M1 contributionWhat an adorable Gallery! It is a very warm and welcoming space that is a haven away from the high energy of Leeds city Market. The work is of a high caliber and features many local artists! Prices allow for a wide range of budgets and Joss is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Written 8 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paula SLeeds, UK16 contributionsWent with my daughter and daughter in law as a birthday present from my daughter. Great choice of pottery items to paint and well priced. Relaxing atmosphere in the tiny shop. Good choice of paint colours. Good range of music playing. Very friendly host. The 2 hours allocated flew but we were all able to finish with a bit of time stretched at the end. Looking forward to collecting out items next week after firing.Written 16 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MusettechefLeeds, UK3 contributionsWe had seen that the Old Chapel were running tours via the Yorkshire Evening Post. Having known a little about its connection to Leeds band The Kaiser Chiefs I thought it would be interesting to visit. Having been to studios before I wondered what the Old |Chapel could offer & when the tour said it would be 2 hours long in all honesty I thought how will they fill that?. I needn't have worried.
Our host/guide Katie was superb in setting the scene about the history of the studio & a very interesting film was shown prior to touring the studio.
Katie's knowledge is superb & you could feel her passion about the building, bands & about the CIC.
We were split into 3 groups & taken into the different rehearsal rooms, studio etc. for a truly immersive experience.
Even if your not a musician you felt comfortable enough to get involved in having a bash on the drums or hitting a power chord on the guitar.
The memorabilia room was of particular interest & you get the sense of the music literally oozing from the walls.
There was a great chat about the possible future of the studio & how the public can get involved.
Definitely worth booking onto this tour which runs once a month & supporting this excellent organisation.Written 7 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
