Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Molly TDerbyshire, UK2 contributionsThis is our second time as a couple-team at Escape Hunt Leeds, this time for a birthday. We had a brilliant time at Alice in Puzzleland with Cheshire Davina, and previously did Finest Hour with Agent Maya.
Both times we’ve been very impressed with the involvement of the staff assigned to the rooms: great characters and certainly not your usual ask a question down a walkie talkie type of staff.
Escape Hunt rooms aren’t just the typical lock-style rooms with codes. They have fully fledged and unique stories with quirky ways of solving them.
Looking forward to (hopefully) escaping the rest!Written 18 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - V2913DPedwardaLeyburn30 contributionsVery friendly and helpful staff,
When there were incidents in the track the team were very quick to get things moving again and not just using the yellow flags for the sake of it.

She was so bubbly and chatty ! Iv never been before and she made sure I was ok throughout my visit .. on the other hand I witnessed a small blonde girl been really rude to customers. Not just adults the kids as well ! This really threw me off as the majority off people in there are children .!Written 29 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helen C24 contributionsLove this place. People are friendly the food and coffee is amazing. I use it as a fuel stop after a run or to meet up with family and friends for food. I can recommend the hash browns to. A big shout out to the team for fueling me for last 7 months for training of the Great North Run.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Meeker MManchester, UK9 contributionsWhat a well laid out place. The routes and grades were well thought out and consistent. Most of the routes required a bit of thought which adds to the challenge. The staff are friendly and if you have a problem on a route, they are more than happy to give you some tips. I will come back there soon!Written 20 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Springwell1 contributionI think it was amazing but the only error was I think there should be some where the buttons were lower down so it was easier to build confidence other than that I think the staff couldn't be more helpful but without a doubt I will be back!!! ps the stairway to heaven is the best. I had lots of fun!Written 21 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Kristina P Hetherington10 contributionsAfter a few years of bouldering and following an ACL injury and surgery I had the opportunity to get some coaching sessions 1-2-1 from Andy at CityBloc. I’ve never met a person more suited and amazing at coaching! After my injury/surgery I became more fearful when climbing and this impacted my climbing ability greatly. Andy was amazing at helping build my confidence and within a few sessions got me climbing higher grades faster than I would have ever progressed in my own. He also helped me read routes better, and rectify some bad climbing habits I had developed over the years. Massive thanks to Andy! Highly recommend 1-2-1 sessions with him. I’ve also seen the value in getting coaching at the beginning of anyone’s bouldering journey. Get those good habits in from the start.Written 15 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TheTaylorTourTeamPontefract, UK7 contributionsVisited with 3 mates. We have been successful at every room previous, expectations were high for this. Long story short, we failed. But we had fun on the way.
Dan, our host was friendly, and very knowledgeable. An obvious escape room fan. We were very clear about our task ahead.
The escape room followed a linear pattern. For those unsure, this means you need to do clues in order, to get to the solution. If in a large group this can mean that members become redundant at times, but thats fine. This does mean that I would recommend it to a couple, as I think it would be doable.
This room is tricky at times, but there is plenty of originality. Good room to tryWritten 2 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was my son's first time and we did the treetop adventure+. Huge thanks to our instructors Spencer, Dom and Sky- they were friendly and professional during safety, fitting of the harness and general mannerisms.
Quite soon my son thought he couldn't do one of the challenges and asked to come off, when I told Sky, she was super helpful and friendly and came up to him straight away. She showed him an easier way to get across and gave him the confidence to continue. She didn't make him feel difficult or like he was an issue.
The instructor at the first zip line was super patient with my son, thank you so much and sorry I didn't get your name. After this, he was absolutely fine on the rest of the course and zip lines.
The treetop adventure+ is well worth the money, you get to do 3 very different courses and the zip lines get better each time. The staff at the cashier hut were so friendly and professional too, again they didn't make us feel like anything was an issue like storing our bags.
Venue and location is beautiful, love the free parking and adventure playground opposite. Some other locations like Dalby are pricy to enter. There's a lot on offer at Temple Newsam with the grounds, parks, farm, cafes and the house too. Not far from Leeds and surrounding areas.
Highly recommend this site and Go Ape in general, look forward to visiting again with both my children.
Thanks to all.Written 10 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The trail itself is both beautiful and adrenaline-filled. Gaz also took some pictures and videos of us which were a laugh to watch back. I would definitely do it again!Written 29 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
