Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was on the same tour as Gary P, and I fully concur with his praise for Mark. Mark lives in a nearby village, so he was able to share anecdotes and details that no travel book could ever provide. For instance, he was able to point out a section of a stone wall that had newer, unweathered stones because a tree had fallen over it in recent years. As we drove about between the stops, he had numerous interesting details such as explaining Thankful Villages as we drove near Upper Slaughter, details about thatched roofing, and so on. It was truly a memorable and extremely pleasant day.

Sufficient effort by guide to engage tourists. Cotswolds portion (1.5 hrs) could be a tad longer considering 3 hrs allocated to Oxford. Guide could give reminders to the group about eating etiquette within the coach. Specifically, the passenger seated behind me on the coach kept eating all sorts of hot food (including soup) which foul the air within the moving coach.

Mal and Pete were absolutely lovely and my husband and I had such a nice time exploring Cotswolds in their company. They are very flexible on how one would want to customise their trip. And as they are locals, they have many snippets of history to share and know many hidden spots of Cotswolds which are tourists-free! This was my first time in Cotswold and I was sceptical of being able to explore Cotswolds without having our own car but Mal and Pete made the experience so worth it! Would totally recommend this private tour as it's got it all - beautiful landscapes and even more beautiful company! :)

We booked this trip well in advance of arriving in Oxford and we were glad we did. It is quite popular. Taking a Cotswold tour out of Oxford rather than London allows you to see way more when doing a day trip. Dave was an excellent driver and Isabelle was an excellent guide - telling us many good stories. We had frequent rest stops, bathroom stops (maybe being a few 20 pence pieces to access some of the bathrooms), and wander around and eat stops. We were picked up close to our accommodations at 9:15 and returned very close to 6PM so it was a full day. But, a great day. We saw enough to make us want to come back and spend more time in this beautiful area of England.

I'd read other reviews and was keen to try this app out. It didn't disappoint. We had a lovely day tootling around only a few km from home visiting so many interesting places. You may need to charge your phone if you use it all day. Other than that easy to follow and great fun.

We used Cotswolds tours and travel to transit from our London hotel to the Cotswolds and back, and for a day long tour of the Cotswolds villages. Our guide for our private day long tour, Johnny, was a local lad who was so proud of his home. He took us places most tourists don't get to see, shared his personal memories and knowledge and became a part of the family. He booked us a great lunch in one of the oldest pubs in England, took pictures of all of us at his favorite old church, landmarks, brewery, cemeteries, and tourist attractions. He discovered our interests in antiquing and took us to a great shop for all of us to buy cool souvenirs. When we needed a bathroom break he knew where to qo as quickly as possible (important for a van load of 7 people of all ages). Our drivers to and from London, John and Robin, arrived on time were very accommodating, gave us a background and history of the area (without stepping on Johnny's toes!) and were very personable. We highly recommend them and would use them again for sure!

This trip to the Cotswolds was on my wife's bucket list for her 60th birthday! We arranged an 8-person tour for our family ranging in age from 7 through 65. We discovered Jamie, who had an outstanding way of communicating with us, and assured us our trip was perfect. We took the train from London's Paddington Station and arrived in Moreton-in-Marsh at about 10:00 am on what turned out to be a heavenly day. Jamie promptly escorted us to the local market where we could refresh and grab some snacks for the excursion. We ventured across Batsford, Broad Camden, and Chipping Camden where we saw a mixture of thatch-roofed houses and grand estates and toured the Tower at Broadway - the viewing tower is the highest point in the Cotswolds offering wonderful panoramic views! We stopped at a local lavender field where the blooms were just starting to open.

We made our way to Snowshill where there were stately homes, quaint cottages, a lovely country pub that dates back to 1865, and St. Barnabas Church - constructed about 1850. We stopped for lunch at the Swan Inn, a lovely spot in the village of Broadway which dates back to the 1500's as a stage coach stop. Jamie inspired our lunch and shared some insights about the village and we then spent some time leisurely strolling about High Street stopping in the many shops.

Off to Upper Slaughter where we happened upon some locals who were enjoying a cooling dip in the River Eye which travels through Lower Slaughter. Both the Upper and Lower Slaughter are quaint villages with beautiful touches of history. Jamie provided wonderful insight on the area and we were able to get to know him and a bit about his family a little better. On to Bourton-on-the-Water where we enjoyed some ice cream and shopping along a village that straddles the River Windrush with its five arched-stone bridges. The buildings and structures have an amazing honey-colored stone hue in their architecture. From there it was a short drive to Stow-on-the-Wold where we strolled through the small market town and spotted the oldest English inn - The Porch House from A.D. 946. We even visited St. Edward's Church where two ancient yew trees stand at attention at the church doors which is said to have inspired J.R.R. Tolkien in The Lord of the Rings!

Jamie was an empathic man who shared what he loved - the quintessential Cotswolds! We relished the seven hours of exploring the Cotswolds with him as our shepherd as he guided us through a thousand years of wonders. My family LOVED every moment of that day. Enjoy the private tour of Cotswolds Adventures!!!

What a lovely day we had being driven through the beautiful Cotswolds with our driver Paul. He was such a knowledgeable and friendly guy. Leaving the car at home enabled me to relax and witness the gorgeous landscape and outstanding beauty of what this tour offers. The coach was comfortable and warm. It was also lovely to meet the other guests on the trip and enjoyed sharing photos with each other. You will fall in love with the Cotswolds and Paul knew all the hidden gems I didn’t know existed. Thank you Paul and to the others that made our day so memorable.

Cuma was wonderful! He showed us around some quaint towns in The Cotswolds and also around Oxford.
While he told us of some important places, he also gave us free time to explore on our own.
Cuma customized the trip so that we could have the best experience. We would definitely recommend Cuma and this tour to anyone visiting the Cotswolds. We had a perfect day!

Nathan was wonderful from the moment he picked us up, he was early and easy to find. Prior to the trip he was very communicative and answered all our questions. He is incredibly knowledgeable on the Cotswolds and told us great stories throughout the day. Each stop was fantastic. The day was so great we wished we could be in the Cotswolds for longer. This was a wonderful day trip from London and will definitely recommend to all of your friends who visit! Come visit us in the states! - Zoe, Amanda, Brooke, Jess & Sammi

It was a perfect trip. We visited the surrounding Cotswolds villages for two days at the weekend. Caglar was a very kind person and we were very pleased. We plan to come again next year and will book with Caglar again.
