Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow! What a comprehensive museum! 5 Floors with all different interests: covid, the Troubles, world time lines, arts, animals, science, pharmacy (of poisons), ETC! & for FREE. About a 25 min walk from city centre..easy & straight down the main road. Can also see the university & the botanical gardens while there. I spent 2.5 hours there but I did see it all & read almost everything. There were a few videos to watch on the entry floor.
There were clean bathrooms, lockers & a cafe. I have been to Belfast before so I wouldn’t say it is a MUST for a 1st visit

We saw this on our tour bus and thought we had to stop in, it's absolutely adorable. There are a variety of different market stalls for everyone; clothes, jewellery, food etc. It was such a big space as well so it didn't feel crowded and you had plenty of time to walk around. All the vendors were so chatty and friendly. And if you walk around read the wall to understand the history of the market and the building, was very fascinating to get an insight.

Easy to visit since the ulster museum is inside. Lots of benches & a few picnic tables. Lots of ppl eating their picnic lunch here. Ferris wheel($). A few food trucks incl ice cream. 3 diff areas to visit with plants, a fish tank, waterfall, rose gardens, free bathrooms.
Not first on the list for the 1st time visitor. Easy 25 min walk from centre.

More than a quarter of a century after the end of The Troubles, Belfast remains a sharply divided city. The Peace Wall’s mere existence is evidence of that, dividing Catholic and Protestant sections of the city.

Brilliant hike. Amazing views and great walk.
Well signposted and the parking in the park is free.
We had rain sunshine and wind but glorious views nonetheless.

We had a drive around the Shankhill area with our taxi driver before being dropped off at the hotel, lots of new murals since we last visited with the one of King Charles & a lovely one of the queen, still an area of intrigue with the political backdrop it has.

I remember in the 80's growing up aware of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. I remember hearing of a man in prison who was called Bobby Sands and that he went on hunger strike. He was not the only prisoner who was on hunger strike but he seemed to be the one who everyone was talking about.

I remember hearing news reports that he had died and that was the end of that as far as my pre-teen brain was aware.

Many years later and I got the opportunity to visit Belfast and I was determined to visit both the Falls Road and Shankill Road areas. I am very glad I did as it was good to get the two sides to the history of what went on in the Province.

Following the Good Friday Agreement peace has been restored and it is an opportunity for investment into the area and prosperity. That said it is important to remember the past so I would recommend a visit to the Peace Wall and also to Shankill and Falls Roads.

On the side of one of the buildings on Falls Road there is a mural to Bobby Sands and nearby there is a Garden of Remembrance to the people who lost their lives during the conflict.

It's definitely a good place to visit to get more information about the history of the area.

Probably the major traditional educational institution in the region. An impressive campus for the visitor with some massive and lovely buildings, lots of green space. If you have the time, it can be a good short visit.

What can I say......My friend and I visited the info centre every day, for a week, looking up trains, buses and general information. I have to say, Belfast is a very confusing city, so their help was very much appreciated.
    I thank you.

As these places go this is quite tasteful. A good range of quality stores and places to eat.

I guess for me the real difference was the viewing platform right at the top. Access us via both stairs and lift and gives a fantastic panoramic view of the Belfast City sky line!

Wonderful, wonderful museum truly packed full with history or Irish republicanism from the revolution through the troubles. We quickly stopped in and realized there was so much more to see we came back the next day

Beautiful historic library in centre of Belfast with stunning cafe serving homemade food. Not open on weekends but a must see place and if you enjoy a game of chess an essential stop 😀 Free exhibitions are also an interesting addition.
