I'm going to be honest, this was not on our itinerary as when I googled "things to do in Belfast" this did not come up and was instead recommended by a friend. This experience SHOULD be better marketed to tourists as it is well worth a visit. We spent a couple of hours here, not an overly long time, but found the entire delve into the history and operation of the old prison absolutely fascinating.

The exhibition is well laid out with plenty of spaces to explore, learn and generally check out what the inside of a prison is like.

It was a bonus afterwards to stumble across the independent shops and eateries in the adjoining prison wing at the distillery. Highly recommend!!!

    An amazing visit!!

We came to Belfast primarily to see the Titanic Museum, but thankfully, my young son recommended that we also visit the HMS Caroline, I'm glad he did!

At first sight, it was obvious that she was meant to go into harm's way. She looks menacing, but sleek and graceful at the same time. It may have been my imagination, but I'm sure she was pulling at her moorings, desperate to leave the dock for open water.

We were met at the top of the gangway by a gentleman who was to be our guide for the afternoon. He gave us an overview of the ship, its service and its historical significance. We were then led into the Drill Hall to watch a short film, followed by a brief history of the hall and its significance.

Next, we received one of the best ship tours I've ever had! Our guide was a font of knowledge (I'm not exaggerating), and he drew us in with his compelling storytelling.

Many tours I've been on have been restricted to the main deck only, thankfully, this was not the case here.

Down into the belly of the beast we descended. We learned about daily life on the Caroline, the routines that occupied the men throughout their days and nights. We learned about the separations of the ranks and the hierarchy that governed them.

We got to see where the ordinary sailors took their meals compared to the somewhat more luxurious Wardroom where the Officers ate. I do want to point out how realistic the food looked on the tables. The meat and potatoes looked lovely as did the pudding!

The Engine room!! Most tours ignore the engine room and at best will just say "In there is the engine room", not here!! We got to go into the engine room!!

After learning about the engines, a rumbling could be felt beneath our feet. This then grew and surrounded us with the most realistic engine room experience I have ever seen outside of an actual working engine room. It was amazing!

    I could waffle on, but I won’t.

There was so much to the tour that I can't remember everything, but I can tell you that my son and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We will be back to visit again (possibly next week, ferry trip already booked).

As a Shellback (USN), I thank you! BZ

    Pros:
-Extremely knowledgeable guides, went beyond facts and numbers and made the human connection
    -Easy access/boarding the ship itself
-Length of tour was great, not too long or too short

    Cons:
    None!

    Suggestions:
    -Ship blueprints for sale?

More than a quarter of a century after the end of The Troubles, Belfast remains a sharply divided city. The Peace Wall’s mere existence is evidence of that, dividing Catholic and Protestant sections of the city.

Well signposted and the parking in the park is free.
We had rain sunshine and wind but glorious views nonetheless.

My first ever escape room was tons of fun! Drake was a competent, knowledgeable and exciting games master able to get us into the spirit of the room, use timely communication when we got stuck, and ensured a fantastic first experience! Cannot wait to go back for another room! Pandora is excellent for horror fans!

We booked this for my sons 10th birthday. Air soft and laser tag. Two adults and two kids. First off we were late to our first booking with unexpected traffic. Gave them a call on the way saying we were running late and they changed the first booking to a later time so we wouldn't miss out which was brilliant and appreciated. Got there and the guys honestly couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. Everything explained perfect and with alot of patience with two excited kids. They made a real effort with the birthday boy which made his day. I would advise anyone to give this place ago. A brilliant day out with the kids. 10/10 and were already making plans to go back.

I took my son here as he just loves climbing. He absoluted loved the kids climbing walls, I think to the point his legs were wearing out. I noticed they have a kids climbing club, so have enquired about joining.

What an immersive way to learn about The Troubles and Belfast. We booked Paul for a 1 1/2 hour political trip of the city, and got so much more than we hoped for. Totally unbiased history and explanations of an ongoing situation, from a person who was born and raised there. And to top it off, it was VERY reasonably priced.
    Thank you Paul!!

The filming locations we visited were cool in and of themselves but the fact that real stars stood in the locations we were at made it that much more amazing! Robby(who was an extra on GoT and got to stand next to Stannis "The Mannis" Baratheon) was an incredible tour guide with lots of knowledge of the material and had a joyful attitude the whole tour. I would 100% recommend the Winterfell walking tour!!

Can thoroughly recommend this company. We did the full-day Giant's Causeway trip with them which included lots of other stops such as Carrickfergus Castle, Cushendun, Bushmills etc. The company was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off directly from our hotel (Europa). Our driver and guide, Paul, was excellent. He was full of interesting information, anecdotes and jokes. We were a family of four and it is worth paying extra to gain the front four seats as the views of the coast road were spectacular.

Seen last minute on a weekend away at belfast. Catherine was our point of contact and she was brilliant and know her coctails. You get a cloak and wand then escorted to your table to make your 3 cocktails. They enourage you to go around take photos and videos. You can also buy extra cocktails these you dont make. There is so much to look at. Deffinitly a must on your belfast list.
