Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- FrequentFlier7913708 contributionsFabulous experience, well worth the entrance fee, bus stop just across the street. Really interesting and poignant, a must do o experience if visiting BelfastWritten 13 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian B10 contributionsThis gaol was built before the "Troubles" so had criminals and political prisoners. There were 17 executions on that site and some escapes. The stories of life in the prison are relayed by short films largely featuring actors, but some of them did not play properly, some were over long and there was quite a lot of repitition. The section on escapees featured some political prisoners who had escaped from the prison. The condemned cell and the execution room are quite chilling.Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah LLondon, UK3,643 contributionsThis museum is a great place to visit and the best thing is that entry is free. I would recommend approximately two hours to visit this place. There may be some sections you wish to spend longer and then others. The section on The Troubles is very educational and worth a visit. Had a lovely stop at the cafe too. The docents were friendly and knowledgeable.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KittensinMittensLisburn, UK58 contributionsGreat spot for a mooch about on a weekend morning. Lots of cool stalls with a mixture of art and bits and pieces. Plenty of food options and the live music is great. Really nice chilled vibe. Could do with better parking options nearby but if you’re in the city anyway it would be a handy walk. The stallholders are all lovely and happy for a chat. Love getting a coffee and having a people watch here.Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eileen108Mount Shasta, CA5,613 contributionsGreat experience, I walked right in with the Titanic ticket covering this also, not too crowded, in some areas I was the only person (it was early afternoon on a weekday in April). Fascinating to wander around the ship and interesting information on the digital displays. Try to make time to visit!Written 22 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Keri C23 contributionsWe were at the last night of the pantomime and had a fantastic time. Every single member of staff made us feel very welcome. As soon as we arrived the atmosphere was brilliant. I went with my elderly mother who is in her eighties and has mobility issues. All staff were amazing and friendly and helpful. The pantomime was as usual was brilliant and we will be definitely booking for next year. Thank you for making our night a special one.Written 13 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- The_Wanderer1992Columbia, MD2,614 contributionsWhile in Belfast, my husband and I stopped to see the peace wall. My husband was aware of 'The Troubles,' but I did not know much about it. My husband did not know, however, that there was a huge wall constructed between the Catholics and the Protestants. The wall is now painted over with murals to signify "peace" between the two. It's a must see while in Belfast.Written 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Thomas VOakland, CA18,874 contributionsProbably the major traditional educational institution in the region. An impressive campus for the visitor with some massive and lovely buildings, lots of green space.
