Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Pub Monster NeilLiverpool, UK82,044 contributionsOne of the standout buildings of Belfast is Belfast City Hall.
Constructed between 1898-1906 and built from designs from architect Sir Alfred Brumwell Thomas ,a great example of Baroque Revival ,a Grade A listed building ,its such a wonderful building to view ,set in pretty grounds, its most definitely a building to check out if you're planning a holiday to Belfast.Written 28 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John ABelfast, UK1,620 contributionsMy wife and I love this grand old theatre in the middle of Belfast and over the years have seen some excellent productions, but none quite like "War Horse", brought to the stage by the National Theatre. This spectacular and emotional play requires a very big stage and a vast back stage to house the many props needed to bring the story alive.
Many years ago there were fears that the theatre might close but after a large investment and a building programme it was brought up to modern standards, and now attracts the best West End productions regularly.
The people of Belfast recognise the importance of supporting the Arts and welcome the varied programmes the Opera House attracts.Written 8 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My husband was aware of 'The Troubles,' but I did not know much about it. My husband did not know, however, that there was a huge wall constructed between the Catholics and the Protestants. The wall is now painted over with murals to signify "peace" between the two. It's a must see while in Belfast.Written 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- JuddermannCounty Durham, UK418 contributionsVisited with our 5 year old son. Kept us entertained for ~6 hours and we didn't get round everything!
He particularly enjoyed ClimbIt and the medical area. We all had fun in the motion and science area and the Deep Freeze show with liquid nitrogen was exceptionally well presented by Ben.

Peter and Mark were amazing and we really enjoyed listening to all the stories of people long since gone. A highlight for my son was stories of grave robbers and being treated to some music on the tin whistle by the wonderful Mark. I highly recommend that everyone takes the tour, if we lived at home we’d be repeat visitors.
