The enclosed gardens of mccaigs tower are great for kids to run around and play while the benches and grass provide comfy seating for everyone else to enjoy the sunshine.
The view across to the isles from the tower is just glorious, and it was great being able to bring my own children here and take it all in with them.

Great stories about the history of the castle, his own family history, how his father spent his life renovating the ruins with so much passion and of course hilarious recollections of the filming of The Holy Grail...
What amazing tales and anecdotes we heard and how brilliant to hear them told so passionately by an owner, who with his parents and family friends restored the castle so lovingly.
