Stunning walk to Loch Skeen. not for the faint hearted though, especially if you don't like heights.

Stay here for weekends in our caravan - great site, quiet and very friendly. This site caters for Caravans, motorhomes and tents. The owners are very helpful and also has a cafe for breakfasts and lunches or just a coffee. It is just a lovely site. A leisurely 5 minute walk to town centre - which has everything you could need or want. Lots of small pubs and restaurants to choose from.

    A little hidden gem!

It’s a nice park, with seating areas (benches) small swing park for kids and ducks. Pretty trees and a little island in the middle, also a walk-way to a monument.

Great secondhand collectors shop you can loose yourself in for an hour .....
The couple that run it are lovely, prepared to haggle if you dare to do.

What a little gem this place is. For the size of the place they've absolutely used it well, so many facts and interesting stories. Loved the conversation with the volunteers too, who knew Moffat had so much interesting history dating back over 1000 years?
Must do when visiting the area!

a must if visiting this area we kept stopping the car to take in the views. Be careful of roads quite narrow and a lot of log wagons on the road which are quite wide

We enjoyed our visit here. We saw two young roe deer, and some beautiful bright blue dragon flies. It is certainly worth a visit.

Not difficult to find in Moffat with its large tower this is the largest church in South west Scotland . Built in 1884 by John Starforth an Edinburgh architect local sandstone was used . There is a rose window by Starforth and other fine stained glass by Ballantine and Gardiner and William Meikle & Sons. The pipe organ was built by Eustace Ingram in . 1894. A fine looking building designed to make an impression
The church is active and outgoing with Sunday services throughout the year at 11.15am . Communion is held regularly and the church has a Facebook page for regular announcements

Starting from National Trust site at Grey Mare's Tail, the views are superb, the solitude is magic, and a good not-too-difficult climb to White Coomb is there for the taking. Poles are a good idea for this walk even if one doesn't normally use them. Moffat Hills always boggy unless frozen underfoot so good walking boots required here.

This lovely wee shop is open again with all sorts of fabulous things on offer from furniture to clothes! It now has a second premises which is just 20 seconds further towards the end of well street. It's a Mish mash of great quirky bits and pieces. Looking for something specific, ask the lovely Sarah, she's happy to help. Always enjoy my visits here.

Had great fun in my group session with Morgan, despite blustery, chilly conditions on the water. Would be happy to get more tuition another time. Highly recommended 👍🏄

A few must see places in Moffat and this is absolutely one of them. Floor to ceiling with sweet treats, I don't even have a sweet tooth and still managed to find something massively sour to keep my taste buds busy!

If you want a wide range of Scottish souvenirs, then this is the place to go. They have extensive ranges of tartans, shortbread, fudge etc and they have a clothes department (in case you've forgotten anything for your holiday). They sell a range of everything really. There's a video where you can see how the tartan fabric is made also. The restaurant has seating for many people and has a variety of food on their menus.

Can't complain about this pub, bar staff were really nice and helpful, we didn't have a meal so I can't say anything about that. The locals were very friendly (Bruce, Billy, Charlie), a good couple of pool games to get to know the people. I can honestly say we'll be back.👍👍
