Visiting the Discovery was fascinating. There was a member of staff on hand and he was very knowledgeable. We saw a very moving film featuring the Scott crew and there were other films and exhibits detailing the history of the Discovery,

You can see the sleeping quarters of the crew which gives an insight to the conditions.

There are lots of educational props for children and the gift shop was very reasonably priced.

We loved this visit. Entrance fee is good too.

You won't be disappointed with your vist to Discovery.

An excellent hidden gem of a museum. Lots of of social history and an important part of Dundee’s past. We also had lunch in the little cafe in the museum which had good soup.

Visiting this museum was very interesting. The staff are on hand to answer any questions you may have. We saw lots of historical items with a lot of information relating to Dundee and how much skill derives from there.

The paintings were excellent too. We went twice to as there was so much to see and free entry makes it all the better.

Please visit, you will not be disappointed.

If you want to see beautiful views with a bit of historical interest, this is the place to go. I went up through the woods which was a peaceful walk.

I was more a Beano reader than a Dandy one as a child, so Minnie the Minx is my favourite part of this statue. I like that Dundee seems to be very proud of DC Thompson and see a lot of tributes to their characters scattered around the city.

As a newcomer to Dundee, this statue served as a really good landmark for getting my way around though. It was an easy focal point as something to find when heading into town the first time, and I used it as a landmark to figure out directions to everywhere else!

A fantastic way to spend a couple of hours with some great history, and local knowledge to boot.

Visited with the wife, and our dog and were met by a volunteer with biscuits for our dog, which was just a really nice touch. Got chatting to the volunteers that worked there, and they were fantastic in recommending other things to do in Dundee. Their knowledge on the exhibits, and their passion for the museum was clear though, and that made the experience all the better.

We loved the exhibits on the Tay Bridge, and our dog, Luna, especially enjoyed seeing the fire engine. She did bark at the Michelin Man though, so not always the best judge of character :)

This is a fantastic venue for whiling away a couple of hours within Dundee. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it is a credit to the volunteers that operate and run the exhibits and museum.

If you are in the area this is a free museum for all the family - well sort of because of the nature of the building you need to be fit and able to climb the stairs. There are no warning signs that the steps could cause people to panic as the narrow curving staircases need close attention. The views from the inside are superb and the exhibits both inside and out are well laid out and informative about the area.

I really, really wish I could've left an 'excellent' review but sadly that's not possible. Took our grandchildren here today and we all had a great time, the animals were playing ball today and all made themselves clearly visible. The anteaters were ace! The centre lets itself down though with exorbitant prices in the gift shop!! When we are taking small children to a venue,we like to treat them to a little gift at end of visit ( both as a treat for them and to add a bit of revenue to the place we visit) but ,even as a doting Gran, I balked at the daylight robbery prices in the shop.

Wonderful trip to Balnuith Alpacas again today. Gorgeous farm with the most beautiful and friendly animals. Always a lovely welcome from Alison and her husband. Alison is so passionate about her animals and they treated so well! Her husband has his racing pigeons and today we got to see some babies which was amazing. It’s an interactive experience, you get to chill with the donkeys, feed and pet the animals then get to walk the alpacas. The trip lasts about 2 hrs and it’s soooo worth it! The children get a wee goody bag at the end and a wee photo of them and the alpaca you walk. Such a great day! The best few hours as your child will not say “I’m bored, I’m hungry”! Go visit!!!

It's all about the building which is stunning and the Quayside area is very nice. Like everyone else there is not a lot to see inside. The Scottish design exhibition is interesting but the rest of the space was taken up on a Saturday by stallholders with some nice things but no different to any craft fair except very expensive. The shop is awful, nothing you would want to buy. Some nice outside terraces to enjoy the view. The upstairs cafe was very disappointing, indifferent service. The menu came as a blackboard of cakes which I didn't really want at 10.20 in the morning. As I finished my coffee I heard people ordering breakfast which I wasn't told about. So when I paid I mentioned this and was told the menu was on the wall outside. Maybe you know this if you are local but not if you live several hours away and it's a first visit. For customer service its very poor and the menu on the wall was lunch!! Parking across the road was £5.50

Really impressed with the facilities at Camperdown Park - space to walk the dog, great children's play areas, cafe and a small zoo (which we didn't visit).
    All very clean and tidy.

Statues of 5 penguins walking in single file on a low wall on the Nethergate side of Steeple Church to celebrate Dundee’s connections to these creatures and their home in Antarctica. No visit to Dundee is complete without seeing these cute sculptures.
