We had been recommended to use the restaurant for the view over the Firth of Forth, and indeed that was worth seeing - however, the same cannot be said for the breakfast. There was nothing 'Scottish' about the cooked plate, other than lukewarm, tired bacon, a cheap sausage and tired pale egg. I wondered if the elements of the breakfast were form somewhere else than Waitrose, as the quality was poor, with the exception of the toast which was good. I think next time I would stay in town at one of the excellent cafe options. Incidentally, the roof terrace garden was not a credit to the store either, with bedraggled plants needing attention. Avoid, as noted by other reviewers.
