It was a rainy day, but it did not deter us from having a great time on the trip. I highly recommend this food tour.
(Side note to tour planners: The Cullen Skink soup at Kings iV is not good. The rest of the food on the trip is good but I would definitely remove that from the tour. Our food was delicious and easy, simple instructions and we were greeted with a drink. It was so nice to be in her home and feel welcome. Tour lead James was great in providing Edinburgh knowledge with expertise from his career in the food and drink industry.

U r on an old London bus going round some of the main Edinburgh sights whilst having a very good afternoon tea with Prosecco. If you want something light hearted and different then this along with Helen who narrated and served along with her hubby is the experience to do. Our guide was lovely and we had a great time both chatting about cheese and adjacent topics (like other cheeses). It's not my first time on this tour so I personally knew what to expect but the experience was fantastic all the same. - hilifeliving29 contributionsThis is my second time on the crawl and it got even better!!! Tom was such a great host and the bars were all good and lively even on a Thursday! You start with a Jager bomb and drinks discounts from the get-go…
This is one of the best bar crawls I have done in the world, including LA, Vegas and even my own in East London!
Tom will take care of you and will even give you a ‘William Wallace ESC’ speech at the start of the do’s and don’ts as well LOL!
You won't need to pay a cover charge to any of the venues you visit on the night!
I will be back at the next Edinburgh Fringe and will happily recommend this to anyone I meet during and after!

- Liza C8 contributionsWe booked Alec for a food tasting tour around Edinburgh old town on a busy Saturday. Alec was extremely friendly, polite, approachable and knowledgable.
It was great to hear tales of bygone era as well as from Alec’s own childhood in the town. Many of the historical sites we visited we may have just walked on past and not fully appreciated but Alec really brought the history to life.
I wouldn’t recommend eating anything prior to your tour as we were well fed (the Greggs lorne sausage being a highlight).
