Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Alex and Ellis were brilliant, told us interesting facts about beer making and the whole brewing process. Really cool to see how dedicated they are to making something special. And we got to taste so many of the beers - delicious! We’ll def be searching for them in the Netherlands. Thanks for the great afternoon guys!Written 22 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 94009007Edinburgh, UK349 contributionsWe live in Leith but have never been here before and I don't know why. Now it's going to be difficult to stay away. Maybe I knew that would happen. We've been to the Lost In Leith Bar & Fermentaria which serves "Campervan Brewery’s classics alongside a full array of weird and wonderful beers from all over the world". That's only a 15 minute walk away down at the shore.
This place is a great location near Leith Walk and Great Junction Street with a good number of tables outside in a sheltered area that gets a lot of sun. There's a lot of seating indoors too so it's not only for those rare days of sunshine on Leith. The staff are really friendly and full of advice and information on the beers.
I think we tasted nearly every beer on tap (and a couple of ciders) and loved them all. There's something for everyone (including non-alcoholic ) from light pils to dark porter. Particularly enjoyed the fruity mango mimosa and raspberry weisse beer. Good bar snacks too. Some black pepper crackers and chilli rice cakes went down well with the beers.
So we had a perfect afternoon sitting in the sun tasting beers and chatting with the couple sharing our table. Loved everything about this place, they've got it all spot on.Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Protraveller5_11Edinburgh, UK269 contributionsThis is a rare opportunity to see a working brewery that shows a real history of brewing and how technology is changing. The tour is very interesting for real beer enthusiasts, probably not for those with little interest. Good way to spend a rainy hour or two.Written 29 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
