It was a great tour by even greater ROBB! This guy was so talented and funny making the two hours of the tour go by really quickly! Had a really fun game with Harry Potter trivia, asking us questions and giving us points if we answered right. In the beginning the sorting hat divided us into houses so the points were given to each house every time! Slytherin won btw! Go ROBB
Sarah, our tour guide, was cheerful, friendly and truly passionate about Harry Potter and what inspired JK Rowling. It was a great pleasure to take part to this walk. I learnt a lot of things I didn't knew, which I really appreciated. I recommend this walk to everyone interested by Harry Potter.
Interesting narration, easy to follow directions. App worked well. Especially liked the cemetery. Wish it included the other Hogwarts school building that served as inspiration but it might be too far away. 👍
Drivers were entertaining and shared many interesting stories and facts. Personally, I would have liked to have more time to tour Bamburgh castle but I understand most people want the extra time at Alnwick Castle. I would recommend this tour. I had another tour with another operator and this tour with Highland Explorer Tours was far superior.
Love a silent adventure silent disco and especially at Christmas with lots of festive cheer. Massive thanks to our host Claire, she is great, making us laugh and teaching us some great moves for dancing round the streets of Edinburgh. Cant wait to do it again.
Sam is great and incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. We really enjoyed the tour. We really enjoyed all we saw in Edinburgh while learning more about Rowling and the Potter world.
Kat was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable. She always ensured we were okay; she knew a lot about the folklore of Edinburgh, and she even had wands in her bag so we could take pictures with different characters' wands if we wanted. I'm super happy of my experience with her.
This Harry Potter walking tour was an enchanting experience, like a magical shortcut to discovering Edinburgh's hidden Harry Potter treasures. The guide's expert guidance and immersive storytelling was a delight.
My wife and I did this tour pre-Covid. But I just ran into the old pictures and smiled at what a special afternoon experience we had on the Potter Tour! It is always a treat to find others who love the Wizarding World, which is one reason why this particular tour should be on your to-do list. Another reason is the dedication and clever wit of the guide, Sam. Finally, the personal touches were quirky and adorable, and my favorite memories of our Scotland vacation.
We had an absolute blast with Sam on our 8-hour tour! My 10 year-old Harry Potter obsessed daughter and I are doing a Harry Potter road trip for her birthday. Sam’s stories, activities and sights (and of course his wizard robes!) were above and beyond. Sam walks and talks fast so be ready for a workout! We covered a ton and the time flew by. We passed several other group tours and it made me glad we had the privacy and flexibility of Sam’s private tour. He was able to modify based on our interests and even made time for us to stop off at a couple of shops. He left us on Victoria Street where he gave us the insiders tip of grabbing a butterbeer from the take away window at The Elephant House to enjoy while we waited in the line for Museum Context. Our feet are tired but our hearts are full. Thank you, Sam, for a wonderful day in Edinburgh!
Very good review by tour guide James, he gave us a great experience and told us interesting stories and tales. I was with Jamie's (the witch lol) group.
