King Tuts Wah Wah Hut is a venue we visited on a Sunday afternoon featuring local artist on open mic. Had a great time. Situated a stone’s throw from the busy M8, and yet completely hidden from it, you might try to book a table for food since this place is jammers !!
Boasting a choice of Scottish and English ales, I could have definitely tried 5 or 6 which were new to me.
The food was excellent (started with batter-encrusted haggis, and followed up with a massive piece of beer-battered haddock with real peas (not the awful mushy ones which now seem to be the norm). I don’t know if they were short-staffed that night but the lady serving the locals looked like the road runner, zipping from bar to table, and to her credit, nobody appeared to have been left waiting !!
This is real gem of a local well worth searching out in Glasgow’s West End. After dinner we decided to go to Denholms as wife occasionally goes to 26 Hope Street across the road and has seen wee Ricky with his karaoke on Sundays there. Drinks were reasonably priced and the staff were great. One of the barmaids knew my order off by heart after a couple of rounds. Clientele was great and enjoyed the karaoke with wee Ricky. - Vacationer7900292 contributionsCame across this little gem on my way back from mcdonalds, was thinking of heading home until the extremely hot barmaid - Jean, approached me when i was blazin up a big reefer. Great night although the talent wasnt the best, little place next door...
