Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had our wedding at House for an Art Lover, and it was exactly what we wanted. The customer service is excellent, and the support from the Wedding Co-ordinators was outstanding. Everything from the food to the small details was executed perfectly, so I would recomment the venue to everyone.

I visted two exhibitions here in March, yes alot of the building has been destroyed but very much so still a lively hub of creative energy. It is worth a walk from the town, Garnethill a very interesting part of Glasgow, albeit quite steep!

It is a real asset for Glasgow. It is well maintained and we have enjoyed having a coffee and a meal. It is a pity there are a couple of vacant shops but that is common today.
    We visited Hotel Chocolate twice!!

Climb the steps and you have a great view of the city. Take the lift and you get an alternative perspective. The Mackintosh exhibition is very interesting with models, time lines and furniture, there is a cafe and a shop too. Lovely staff made the whole thing even more pleasurable

Dr. William Hunter, an anatomist, bequeathed the University of Glasgow his extensive collection, which allowed The Hunterian to begin publication in 1807. Initially, the University of Glasgow housed everything in a single building, but over time, they relocated various components around campus. Current holdings include the Hunterian Zoology Museum for zoology, the Art Gallery for art, and the University Library for books and manuscripts. Discover all of this and more in this extensive and fascinating collection!

Good selection of stores - fashion, food, department store, etc.
Good for dinner options if you are looking for somewhere to eat out. Morrison a supermarket is in complex next door.

We drove into Glasgow for a day out and mainly stayed around Buchanan street, the shopping centre had lots of great stores and a small food court on the top floor. We will definitely come back again.

Great shopping centre with various things going on to attract customers.

This time it was the costumes from the TV Show, the masked singer with a range of the real thing available to view and a fair sized crowd sizing them up. Whether any of those looking at them would have fooled the judges remains to be (never) seen but the excitement of the kids who were looking at them suggests that the management of the shopping centre have a winner on their hands with this feature.

Great range of shops and eating houses to complete our visit.

One of the better shopping malls in Scotland.

This is a rather ordinary shopping center with numerous shops and eateries.
While it lacks any charm and looks like any other generic shopping center - it's still a good choice when it's raining outside.

Nice place to find antiques and old-fashioned items. Barras Market truly special is the seamless blend of tradition, innovation and most of all community. Major street and indoor weekend market Glasgow, Scotland's East End is home to the Barras. From the Glaswegian word "barrow," the name "Barras" reflects the early days of the market when tradesmen sold their goods from handcarts.

Skip all the usual souvenirs/tat on the high street and shop here instead! They offer a wonderful selection of gifts, souvenirs, and art pieces; all hand-crafted locally in Scotland. A must-visit for any tourist in search of a keepsake.

Bought 3 suits in the last week from Slaters in Ayr, suits are of an amazing quality and great value for your money. I had the best help ever from Scott, he works the floor. This man went above and beyond for us nothing was a bother. He is an asset to the company. Proper gentleman. Won't go anywhere else for a suit now.

Have been going there frequently for quite few years. Nowadays it is not nearly as good, with much fewer stalls. You can still get some bargains, but no so many. Heavily frequented by foreigners, Eastern Europeans and Africans, and there is a lot of theft, mainly from the traders, but you do have to be aware of pickpockets.
OK for fruit and veg, and the meat wagon does good deals.
A complaint I have heard from sellers is the rudeness of the organisers' staff, and I have heard it myself. Also it is expensive compared to most car boots. Still worth an occasional visit, but I wouldn't go every week.

Always a super way to do some Christmas shopping and I’m looking forward to going to the next one in November 2021. I’ve picked up some fantastic unique gifts here for the last few years, always different makers/artists of a consistently high standard in attendance.

What can we say...our wedding day was honestly the most perfect day and we wish we could do it all over again. This was all thanks to The Engine Works. They were incredible hosts, so professional, friendly and everything was flawless from start to finish. Everything and anything we asked for was executed to perfection and if you are looking for a blank canvas venue, then this is most definitely the place for you!

Thank you so much to Erin and Leigh in particular who were just fantastic in creating the wedding of our dreams.
