Brilliant, such a great day. Only the four of us plus the wonderfully entertaining driver - Scott, made for a very personalized experience. Exceptional play list to set the scene (special mention to Deacon Blue) & unforgettable scenery. Bonus drop in to see the Hairy Coos, Scott also managed to help out a fellow Australian that car had broken doon. (Coincidence - had breakfast with the family the next morning, can you believe it! - car started 20 min later & they got to enjoy their day - very grateful for the assistance).
The bus was super comfortable, & cosy as it was a tad fresh with snow outside. Would go again in a flash & have already recommended the tour to anyone who’ll listen. Even managed to pick up a souvenir spoon from Fort William. Highlights a plenty and family back home loved the scenic photos from the highland, the loch’ and viaducts the most from my holiday to the UK and Europe.
    Many thanks

Alistair was an amazing guide. Loved hearing all the history and how it ties in with outlander! Bummer midhope is closed in the winter. Can’t wait to come back in the summer to see it

An amazing tour. The sites were beautiful, fun and Ayvin was very flexible getting us to all the sites but allowing us to enjoy the experience. Good conversation, knowledge of history and accommodating to kids as well as older family members!

I had an amazing day with Catriona as a tour guide. She explains each place, each stop, each tourist attraction very well, answers questions and does her best to deliver the best experience to the client. I recommend it!

The best day we had in Scotland. Our guide went above and beyond to show us everything Outlander. Also got a great lesson in Scottish history. I feel like we also found a friend along the way!

Stuart was amazing from first contact online thru our tour!
I arranged a private tour with him to 3 castles in Outlander for my husband and I when our cruise ship stopped in Scotland 1 day. He created a timeline and itinerary specific for our ships times. My husband had no knowledge of Outlander before this and loved Stuart and truly enjoyed the whole day! Stuart even introduced us to a local Scottish beverage and had snacks for us for the day. He was a true pleasure and made our day in Scotland remarkable. I would highly recommend him- you will not be disappointed!

Brilliant tour, I live in Scotland and thought we would try something different. Great day out, never been to these places, amazing to see parts of our country I would of otherwise not visited. The tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Made us all feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

While on holiday in Scotland we decided to do a Outlander themed trip.

So glad we did it with this company.

Our guide Barry was super fun, knowledgeable and if I am honest very attractive :-) his accent is soooo sexy...we could understand you no problem Barry :-)

A lot of the castles we were meant to visit were closed however Barry's suggestions were awesome.

A great day out it was the highlight of our time in Scotland.

    Thanks Barry X Lisa & Nikki X

We scheduled the Braveheart Experience thru our local travel agent. This tour can also be scheduled directly thru Trip Advisor or the tour operator, Alba Experiences.

James McKinlay is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Scottish history. His company vehicle is very comfortable and he provides water, snacks, and a dram of whiskey on the tour.

We first stopped at the Battle of Bannockburn Experience for one hour. Next, we stopped at Stirling Castle for two hours followed by the Wallace National Monument for one hour. We had lunch at the Wallace Monument prior to climbing the stairs and visiting the artifacts. James also added a bonus stop to see the Kelpies at The Helix Park.

I highly recommend this tour, as well as, an Outlander Tour by Alba Experiences. James acted in two episodes of Outlander’s Season 3 and his Mother’s family has the surname of Fraser. His relatives fought at Culloden. James has a vested interest in sharing his family’s history!

The guide makes the tour and Johnny was the best! He shared a wealth of information and interspersed it with movie and TV tidbits regarding what was realistic from the film's and where specific scenes were filmed. Our 2hour van ride was filled with music and Scottish history, lore and laughter.

After searching through Google for a tour we were looking for we came across Anderson Scottish Tours and booked direclty. Our visit to the Glenfinnan viaduct with Callum was magical for my wife and I who are fans of Harry Potter.
Callum collected us from our hotel in Edinburg and took us north. The drive was so charming with breathtaking scenery. Callum was a wealth of knowledge from start to finish. Unfortunately, the jackobight steam train - the hogwarts express - wasn't running, which is disappointing but Callum took us to other Harry Potter locations such as the Black Lake and Dumbldores grave. We also stopped for lunch at a quant bar with an impressive whiskey gantry in Glencoe, next to Hagrids hut.
For Harry Potter fanatics like ourselves, this trip was a once in a lifetime experience and Callum was a saint who made my wife and I feel extremely welcomed and was very informative.
We are happy we came across this company and already planning our second trip with him!

I wish I didn't have to post this review, but I must to warn others. This is not a reputable business. PLEASE BEWARE.

I contacted Slainte Scotland and Catriona Stevenson through a tour operator in 2019 to provide us with guide services for a two week trip to Scotland. We were told that Catriona had experience with Outlander tours. She seemed legit. The tour was scheduled for 2020 and when Covid hit, things began to change.

At first, we were told by Catriona that she would extend a credit for two years and that we could re-book when it was possible to do the trip. We had numerous phone calls with her when she continued to promise us that she would be there for us when we rescheduled. When Scotland finally opened up at the end of 2021, we rescheduled the tour through our tour operator but we could not get a response back from Catriona or Slainte Scotland. Phone calls were not answered or returned. Emails only got an automatic "we're busy but will get back top you within 48 hours" response but with no follow up. Essentially, we were ghosted.

We had fully paid her in 2020 and now she won't even return calls to us or to the tour operator who recommended her. No calls, no texts, no emails, and no refund. So disappointing. If she would have told us SOMETHING I might have some sympathy for her. But she didn't show up, didn't even respond to numerous calls and emails, and kept the money. That is Fraud and Theft, plain and simple.

At this point, I can only warn all others not to book with this business. Our experience with them is that they promise a lot but end up stealing your money and leaving you stranded. DO NOT BOOK. It could be that they were once legitimate but clearly now they are not. If you read the reviews here you can see the trend that started near the end of 2019 and has been constant ever since.
