Our tour guide is Karis. She’s really good at multi-tasking. A very skilled driver and a fantastic story teller in a soothing voice who is also very humorous as well. I really enjoy the 3-day tour while making a few lovely friends. Definitely will recommend to my friends.

Our dealings with Rabbies was exceptional from start to finish!

Communication was excellent, we booked our accommodation through them which was great. They also arranged with our bed and breakfast to have gluten free breakfast for my daughter who is a coeliac.

Our tour guide/driver, Andrew, was amazing!! Very professional, told us lots of interesting stories and played Scottish music or songs to do with where we were in between the chats! He was an excellent driver and made sure we were all ok at all times.

The unexpected snow event played havoc with our plans for the day but plan b was put into place and we had a fantastic day out.

Throughout the tour we stopped at lots of great places and there was always the right amount of time at each stop.

Can highly recommend this company, we would definitely use them again.

I was traveling alone. Our group was small so easily made friends for life. Our tour guide Nick was amazing! He knew so much about everything and he was very funny. He gave us good tips where to go and eat. Really liked how he made us feel so comfortable during the trip. The tour was so great, could've easily stayed longer on Isle of Mull and Iona. Staffa tour was also great. We saw a lot of dolphins. I let Rabbie's tour book the accomodation. Drimnin View was great. The room was big and breakfast was excellent. I will definitely book another tour with Rabbie's.

Our tour guide Gillian was awesome! The sites were amazing and she combined it with lots of history, stories, movies and music, which gives the sceneries life. I only wished we can have more time on the sites, but I guess that’s how it is when you want to visit them all in 2 days.

This tour is a great way to see the Scottish highlands without doing a road trip yourself.

My tour guide was Jamie and he was great at telling stories of Scottish history and folklore to entertain you on the drive and we took many stops not on the itinerary to see the beautiful scenery.

As a solo female traveler I also thought this was a great option because you’re with a group of people and have someone who knows the area in case anything were to happen.

Wish we had more time to hangout at the beautiful sites rather than spending the larger chunks of time in the small towns but that’s what you get when you do a guided tour rather than going on your own.

They do pick up and drops offs in both Glasgow and Edinburgh so this was awesome for me because instead of taking a train to go to the other city I got picked up in Glasgow and dropped off in Edinburgh.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone hoping to see some beautiful parts of Scotland on their trip.

If you get car sick do be mindful of that but you stop very often at restrooms and it unfortunately cannot be avoided on those roads.

    Employed excellent drivers.
Virtually impossible to contact via phone or internet.
Quite a few last-minute changes in details but always worked out in the end.
Inflexible about Islay distillery tour requests. Nonetheless, made good selections even though some were not what was requested
    Made excellent lunch choices.
Hotel on Islay was magnificent but remote. 40 sterling for taxi to town for dinner. Hotel had absolutely spectacular breakfast with the best homemade croissants I have EVER had. But did not serve dinner so had to go to Bowmore village, 40 sterling taxi ride away.
Hotel in Inverness on a spectacular lake. But so remote from town it was impossible to go there for dinner. No reliable taxi service. Tiny room but friendly proprietress.

The 5 day tour was amazing, it was just what we were looking for to end our honeymoon in Scotland! It showcased the most beautiful views and interesting places to visit and learn about in the highlands. Hugh MacKay was the best tour guide we could have asked for! He was quick witted and had a great sense of humor, his in-sites and knowledge of the highlands was always enlightening. He was so flexible and fun if there was something we wanted to do he tried his best to make it happen, I had always wanted to visit dunvegan castle on Skye. Now it wasn’t scheduled in the tour but Hugh squeezed it in. I was absolutely thrilled! Hugh is also a great entertainer and story teller, giving us opportunities to immerse ourselves into the myths and culture of the highlands. It’s also a real treat if he happens to play the bagpipes.hearing him play was on of the highlights of the tour! Overall a 10/10 experience. If I had one word of advice for Hugh it would be to try and give every group the opportunity to hear a real Highlander play his pipes. Thanks for all the fun I would love to come back and do it again!y

I recently went on a three-day tour through the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye, and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. Scotland has been at the top of my travel bucket list for years, and this trip exceeded all my expectations.

First of all, the van was absolutely fantastic. It was new, impeccably clean, and equipped with heated seats and individual AC controls for each seat. Even on bumpy roads, it was incredibly comfortable, making the journey an absolute pleasure. On top of that, our tour guide, James F, was an excellent driver. We always felt safe and relaxed, which made the experience even better.

The trip itself was so well-organized, with every detail carefully planned. We visited the most stunning and iconic spots in the Highlands and on Skye. Because we were lucky to be a very small group, James went above and beyond to personalize the experience. He made thoughtful adjustments to the itinerary to accommodate our personal preferences, taking us to a few hidden gems that weren’t part of the original plan (we really wanted to try some Highland Whiskey!).

We stayed in Portree for two nights, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The town itself was so charming and peaceful, with its lovely harbor and cozy vibe. Honestly, Skye as a whole felt like a haven of tranquility. Visiting in December, when the island wasn’t crowded with tourists, made the experience even more special. It felt like we had the place all to ourselves, which added to the magic of it all.

The true highlight of the tour was James himself. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating facts and stories about the places we visited, but he also had a curated playlist of songs tailored to specific locations. It felt like we were part of a movie! That personal touch brought the magic of Scotland to life in a way I’ll never forget.

If you’re considering a trip to Scotland, I cannot recommend this tour enough. From the breathtaking landscapes to the thoughtful planning and exceptional guiding, it was truly the vacation of a lifetime!

Gillian was a great guide and safe driver, wonderful little spots (yay hairy coos!!) and stories you'd never discover if all you did was search online. Food recommendations are SPOT-ON and you absolutely should ask her where to eat! Lovely choice of music throughout the journey too. Coach was clean, well-kept and modern; every seat came with 2 USB charging ports, very helpful when you have your camera app running constantly. All in all it was a wonderful and very comfortable tour and I wish I could do it all over again!

If you just want an ordinary everyday guide Dave is not your guy! But if you want an interesting, fun guide with a witty way about stories & history Dirty Dave is your guy! He planed a great itinerary for the 4 of us & changed up things when we made some change requests. He also knows where the best restrooms are!! Highly recommended for a very unique trip in a comfortable vehicle. Would not hesitate using him again!

We met early on Monday to travel to Fort William. We rode the Jacobite Train to Mallaig. This is one of the great train rides of the world. Very fun and beautiful to travel over the Glenfinnan viaduct (Harry Potter fame). After lunch in Mallaig we got on the ferry to Skye and on to Portree. This is a beautiful town and very crowded in the summer. Fun to walk around and snap many photos. Next day we were on to Dunvegan Castle, Glendale to see the light house. Then on to the Fairy Pools and the Trotternish peninsula. The Fairy Glen was very beautiful and calming. Many stunning sites on our way back to Portree to do a little shopping. Next day on our way to Inverness. Stopping at Eilean Donan Castle for lovely photos. Inverness is a scenic town and we had dinner. This tour is packed with awesome stops. Thursday morning we were up early for our trip to Urquhart Castle via the Jacobite boat tours on Loch Ness. Very informative and exciting morning tour on Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. We also made the stop at Culloden and the Cairns. This is a very somber site, English and Scottish soldiers fighting for control and this was very devastating war lasting for a very short 45 minutes, however, this historical fight devasted the Scots for decades. My daughter and I enjoyed every minute of this tour. Our tour guide, Struan, was a very caring and informative guide. We hated to say goodbye. Back in Edinburgh on Thursday night and the end of a wonderful tour with a wonderful guide.
Thank you Slainte Scotland and especially Struan. May 2019.
