Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just a lovely Glasgow cinema experience. Old yet trendy with a hint of modern . Well worth a visit and staff excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Went to a Throwback event to see It's a wonderful Life and thoroughly enjoyed it. Drinks service during the movie and a meal afterwards. Great night out.

Visited in February 2020 just before COVID really took off! Great cinema that looks very clean, is well managed, has decent food and has amazing views of Glasgow, this isn’t the tallest cinema in the world for nothing!
This place also has the 4DX experience which from the movies I have seen here in the past, benefits them as the seats move really well to the action, the ticklers underneath keep you alert while watching and the water spray gives you a good sprinkle (Learned this the hard way when seeing Sonic!).
Only complaints I would have with this place are that it’s a little expensive and that it looks out of place with the area’s other buildings but I guess for how unique it is these are expected.
VIP lounge is also a nice extra with the special food and more stunning views!

First time i experienced VR and it was amazing! I wish i knew the member of staff’s name because he was great at making us feel at ease and showing us what to do. Took my 7yo niece who loved it. 5* would recommend.

Was excited to re-visit the grosvenor cinema after its refurb. The awful damp smell that had permeated the place over the last few years had gone - which was a good start.
If you sit up the back - don’t be too close to the stairs as the health and safety stair lighting stays on and is quite blinding and affects the view of the film.
In the past the soundproofing between the cinemas has been quite poor and you’ve been very aware of the film next door. This seemed better this time. However the biggest problem was that we could hear the music from the bar above. The music in the bar above was so loud you could make out the words of the songs. I found my brain mentally singing along to the songs instead of watching the film at points. Totally understand it’s a cinema in a buzzing area of Glasgow and would except a bit of noise from surroundings - but I think management really need to sit round a table and find a balance that suits both the bar and the cinema. The music in the bar surely doesn’t have to be so loud it affects the cinema experience. If a balance isn’t found - I fear the re-furb will have been pointless. I certainly won’t be rushing back. Such a shame as this was a great cinema in the past .

I've been coming here on and off for many year and always enjoy this cinema massively. For one, its interior is so beautiful. Very spacious and good on the eye. They got rid of these old posters though which made the cinema even more incredible and unique. It's also affordable, much more than most cinemas in the Glasgow area. Good comfortable seats and affordable food also make this worth going. Very happy to come back again in the future.

Went to the Vue cinema St Enoch last night and was shocked at the cost of a popcorn deal with a drink and a tango ice blast, £17.98 !
more expensive than the film.... The coke was flat and had no taste, so I poured it down the dispenser drain and tried to get another type, but it wouldn't let me, the assistant then informed me that the cup had a chip on it to stop people getting a refill !! Please,a cheap Syrup with carbonated water.. He filled a fresh cup from the other machine, totally tasteless but he added ice as the ice machine wasn't working. It's very dissapointing the way people are being fleeced in this current climate of inflation rises and hiked gas/electric bills. Oh the popcorn was not freshly made, just ruined the whole cinema experience, rip off merchant's

Booked to see James Bond with my husband. Booked easily on their website and chose seats so we weren't right next to other people which I liked. Seats were comfortable enough for the nearly 3 hour film! Expensive but the times suited us otherwise we'd have gone to Vue which is much more economical. For these prices I would expect the recliner seats. Still a good time had by us both

I took my son to see ‘Elemental’ here today and overall, it was a good Bank Holiday outing.

I booked our tickets online and received them relatively quick at the snacks counter. After buying a few things to drink / eat, we sat down in an empty cinema (bar one other family).

Having the room pretty much to ourselves, it worked out quite well as my son is only three - lets just say he moved about (including two toilet breaks). Probably going to stick to the kid specific showings in the future haha.

We both enjoyed the food and the experience, although the amount of adverts and trailers these days is getting ridiculous!
