My husband wanted to go in. Honestly, I can't imagine anyone not finding something of interest here. The mini films are excellent. The signs explain things well. There are all sorts of bikes, motorbikes, cars, trams, buses...to look at. We explored for an hour or so, taking in the beauty of the grounds, sniffing the herbs and feeling the different textures of plants from all over the world. Grandma has mobility issues and we thought she'd have to spend her visit in the cafe at the Imax. We were wrong.
Stuart, one of the staff got us a wheelchair and made it all happen. Wonderful customer service. Then, at the end of our visit, a member of staff followed us out to the car park and they took the wheelchair back.

- Jet189826222452 contributionsVisited specifically to see the finishing Degas exhibition, but I will be back soon to see the permanent galleries as well. The galleries are in a beautiful space, in the middle of a country park visible from many places within the building. One major disappointment (hence one star removed) was the use of language in the Degas exhibition - the curators made sure to condemn racism and antisemitism at every opportunity, yet they were happy to refer to (possible) s*x workers as prostitutes throughout. - Freda JThurso, UK4 contributionsI spent a full day at pollok Park reacquaining myself with my favourite part of Glasgow after 40 years away. It was a lovely experience and brought back a host of happy memories. The gardens are still well laid out although the flowers are now getting past their best. Pollok House was closed for refurbishment but the grounds around it are still open to wander around. The Parterre Gardens are really nice.
i also spent some hours at the Burrell Collection which also was amazing and has so much more in it that when I last visited.
I was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive the gift shop is and managed to secure a few presents to take home.
Sir William Burrell has indeed left a fine legacy for the people of this wonderful City,
The option of a shuttle bus to take you from one part of the Park to another is also a great idea, although I chose not to use it.

Michael Mols was also present and made the whole experience extra special. He looked like he could still be on the pitch tomorrow! Walking down the tunnel to Simply the Best made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up - Fantastic! - JP326749 contributionsWe drove over to the West End during our 3 day stay. It can also be reached on the tube. We found the historic little streets although there were only a couple. What a delight it was. Amazing creations made from scrap. Old lawnmowers, sewing machines wheels, mangles and lots of other scrap metal.
All very creative working models.
